White sands? Nice shot
Was like being on the moon

I lived in Las Cruces nearby for a while and made the white sands trip a few times. It’s unlike any other place I’ve been for sure
You ever go to Red Rock just south of Alamogordo? I spent a few days there and that was the most fun I’d had in a while. Great place to practice in the sand without that sinking feeling like they will never find me

Got lucky on the 2nd day with beautiful weather. Was raining on the first day (first time to see rain in the desert for me such a strange contrast)

do you fly the DA62?
I did not. Fella that was riding with me asked if I’d chauffeur him in the cruiser and go look at airplanes. He sold his Duke a while back and wants another airplane. The DA62 was a very impressive airplane fit and finish. A lot packed into a 4 seater airplane. They better at $1.2mm

One day quick trip with my 9 year old son and a friend:
Friend: hey you must love Ferrari and Porshe? Best cars right?
Son: no way those cars cant go any where like the 60 series..
Friend: but its old and slow
Son: yah ever seen a Ferrari on dunes ? Landcruiser 60 is the best car ever ....

that right there is an awesum example of a boy being brought up right 👍

As promised, heres the rear wiper switch. keep in mind you need to reverse the polarity of your motor on the rear wiper fluid bag and pin 2 is unused. The 4runner rear wiper squirter is set up a little different than the 60 series. Did you know on the 60 series switch you can push in the off side of the switch and it will spray the fluid? I had no idea.

****** I didnt write this clearly on the note above. Near the bottom of the post it note where it says connect blue wire directly to ground, connect a wire going from ground into the connector where the blue wires are. DO NOT CONNECT THE ACTUAL EXISTING BLUE WIRES TO GROUND. Those are 12v+ wires that are going to your wiper fuse and it will pop your fuse if you connect them to ground. Youll see them, its a small blue and a thick blue wire. Just pull them out of the connector and heat shrink them up and dont use them. Then run a NEW wire from ground to where that hot wire would have gone

Aaaand heres all 4. Rear heater, Rear Defrost, Front fog light (for light bar or whatever), and rear wiper/washer. I got these switches online for $25 each. If you follow these you can just use your existing fj60 wiring and plugs and merge them into the wiring on the new switches. They all test and work. My defrost switch doesnt light up when pressed because ive got a broken connection on the back window, but when i jump it on the window glass and complete the circuit it lights up orange like normal

The new bezel should be here shortly and i can get it painted and everything installed. These new switches should match up pretty nicely to the switches i have on the right side of the bezel now, and i can finally get rid of the weird ass fj60 non backlit switches.

I posted wiring on some switches a week or so ago, and 3 out of 4 of them are all good. The rear heater switch needs something extra added to it to work.

To further close the loop on this... all of these wiring diagrams work... but for the rear heater switch youll need a relay. Pin 4 on the switch sends 12v+ when the switch is "off" then sends ground when the switch is pressed on. The 12v+ into the switch on pin 2 runs through a diode and a LED and directly into pin 4 going out of the switch. Unfortunately, youve got to use a 5 pin relay. Let 87a be the 12v+ resting position and then 87 be the ground sent to the rear heater blower motor. Youll just terminate 87a so it sends power to nothing while the switch is "off." The blower motor gets its power from a different relay in the fj60 body harness, so you wont have to worry about overloading the switch

Heres how to wire the relay.
