Met up with a buddy and his ‘92( with snorkel).
The ‘92 is Cool rig, has a lunch box locker in rear and an arb front locker.

I know that rig well! Sold it to the current owner before his long trip south. It was my first 80!
I think I saw that in San Diego also. I had to take a second look and was wondering if G-wagons came with portals.

I am not too concerned with my current dash pad it has a lot of cracks in it already. I might look into getting a heavier duty Velcro for it.Yes it is. Actually made by Escape Gear, but Equipt is a distributor.
I like it, only issue I have is the VHB tape that holds it in place loses its adhesion over time and the cover tends to want to slide off. I may not have prepped the surface well enough but I didn't want to damage the dash.

Okay, thank you for the input. The velcro itself seems sufficient, at least on mine. It's the tape between the bottom velcro piece and the dash that is the weak link in my installation. May be user error though.
Yup! HONDA is solidJersey plates. Solid advice, too.
