Definitely.

there are two versions of that, one for 4 speed (pre-85 h2) and one for long h42 / h55 ('85+)... just has a bit of a different bend.

I have an H55F and a split transfer case going into a 78 FJ40 so go with the longer one. I am modifying the hump for an FJ60 cover to get the holes to match the shifters.

This is the lever that was provided with the gear boxes.

Here are pics I copied from a thread on here showing differences between the early (h42) and late (long h42/h55) versions... someone can probably find the thread...

in full pic the early is on left,,, in closeups the later is on the left.

What I am looking for is a lever like the 5 speed with the taper but looks like they were only for the vacuum controlled transfer cases.

Free bump - if anyone has one of those FJ60 inspection cover humps I'm in need. Doing the same swap as POPO into the same year!

@cruiserland - are you interested in selling that cover?

No I just bought it and it will be delivered tomorrow. I will use it on my 78 cover.

If you want a fat transfer case shifter you want a 4/85-7/87 US imported FJ60 inspection cover. Lower left.

Reason is because the opening in the cover for the transfer case matches the 8/87-1/90 FJ62. The FJ62 uses a fat shifter
Still researching but think 8/87-1/90 FJ62 with a carburated 3F had a manual shifter transfer option that had a fat shifter..

During the nineties and early two thousands manual shift 70 series used a fat shifter.

Been collecting parts for a five speed conversion for a long. I've bought a lot of parts to experiment with.

That is exactly what I was looking for.
I have a cover for a FJ60 that is raised over the top of the transmission cover and has a wider opening for the transfer case shifter and it was just handed to my by the Postman.
