So many options to choose from to swap out my F2. So I'm looking at a Vortec 5.7 for our project. My 60 is still running but we need some more HP for towing at better speeds. This leaves the door open for TBI later but looking to keep it old school. Since I'll need to adapt my 4 speed to the new engine I have been looking for options if I should swap transmissions at the same time and what are my options. I know the NV4500 is a choice for standard (which is preferred) but what is needed for that swap? Also what vehicles use these transmissions so boneyard parts might be easily found. I have tried the search part and while there is too much conflicting opinions on 350 swaps, transmission options are limited. Thanks.
