Anyone running 35x12.50x18 KO2s on factory wheels without spacers? I run a 305/65/18 KO2 on my 06 TLC on the factory wheels without issue. BFG claims the 305s are 33.5x12.2 while the 35s are 34.5x12.5. I’ve found a nice set on Craigslist I was thinking about trying on my 2000 LX. Right now on the LX I’m running a Cooper ST Maxx that supposedly measures 34.1x11.1 and I’m running 1.25” spacers. I would like to ditch spacer and go to a wider tire. What do you guys think about the 35” KO2 for this application?

I’m in love with the 305/65/18s on my 06 and would like to go that way on my 2000 LX, but the deal on the 35s has me tempted.

I have heard that you may end up rubbing the UCA's without the spacers... you are going to get a whole lot of different opinions on the site with this one....
I was wondering about UCA clearance too. That’s why I’m hoping someone that is now running or has tried can chime in. I don’t think there should be much width difference between the 305s I currently run on my 06 and the 35/12.50, but will it be too much:meh:?

I also run stock UCAs on my 06 with the 305s and no spacers but I have SPC UCAs on the LX. I don’t know if the SPCs create any more or less UCA clearance or not. I wouldn’t think so.

I'm running 35x12.5 ko2... with a 1.25 spacer no rubbing on the UCA, but had to flatten the pinch weld and trim the inner fender cover to eliminate rubbing there. All in all, I'm not convinced they're a better choice than the 305's I took off but I got a sweet deal on a set of 5 new 35's for $1k so I jumped.

Have you had the truck at full bump and full lock?

Thanks for the response. Did you ever try them without the spacers?

I just went and checked under my 06 that has the 305s without spacers. There is about 1.25” of clearance between sidewall and UCA. I think I’ll give the 35s a shot. Looks like it will work to me.

What wheels are you using?

Sounds like more than enough room.

Did you find a way to compare the "protrusion" of the OEM vs SPC UCA's ?

I’m running factory +60 wheels and no spacer on the 06 TLC with the 305s. No spacer and factory UCA.

I’m wanting to the run the 35s on the LX with factory +60 tundra wheels with SPC UCAs and no spacer.

I haven’t had a chance to compare the UCAs but I doubt the clearance would be less. Especially since I have my my ball joints slid all of the way outboard in the arms.

Did you ever figure out if the 35x12 without spacers fit with any issues?
Nope. Ended up going with 315/70r17 KO2s on my Rock Warriors with spacers. That worked but I never really liked it. So I recently changed to a 295/70r18 Toyo MT on Method NVs with 25mm offset. I love it. After trying the wider tires I think it’s just too much extra strain on everything. I won’t be going wider then 295-305 again.
