Hi, All -

Sorry for making this post... but I have searched for half an hour and can't find anything like this bumper out on the market. I saw this posted in a Facebook LC100 owners group, and the owner said it's a TJM, but he bought the vehicle with the bumper on it, so he doesn't have a ton of details. Looking online, I don't see any TJM products similar to this - particularly the way the bull bar is manufactured (just tube welded to tube, vs those vertical I-beams you see on most TJM/ARB products), and the utilization of the OEM fog lights.

I think this unit looks fantastic and appears to be quite robust while maintaining a cleaner aesthetic than many alternatives. Anyone recognize this thing? What do you all think of the look?

I believe they used to make an aluminum bumper but no longer do. Someone with more knowledge should confirm but I was looking into it recently since I’m interested in a lightweight set of bumpers. Maybe that’s Al hence having a different construction? Maybe the owner could test with a magnet.

That TJM bumper is really nice because it allows you to reuse your factory fog light housings.

I don't think an aluminum front bumper can withstand a deer strike even at a low speed. Kangaroos are huge and a real threat in Ausi. IMO an aluminum front bumper is just a show-off thing than real use.

Looks like an aluminum TJM T1, cut down.

Wow, that looks like it's the one for sure! Thanks for sharing this!

So like the other user above stated, I guess I would have some concerns about aluminum holding up to a deer strike at 60 or 70 mph, and that is one of my main motives in getting a bumper. That said, I have to imagine that this aluminum bumper would still hold up way better than the stock bumper and grill - If it keeps my headlight and cooling system functional, allowing me to to get myself off the highway and to civilization, I'd consider it a win.

If your motive is protection for deer strikes, this bumper is not the one. And a cut down version certainly has less protection. Toyota Australia sells dealer installed like this (Made by TJM) but you would find them on eBay Australia a lot.... presumptively replaced by proper steel bull bars.

Trade offs of an aluminum and steel if the intention is protection or if it’s a damage multiplier. There are a few videos online that can help shed light on bulbars and wildlife strikes and how they certify one:
