Has any body made a boost reference line pressure actuator for a A442f hydro?
I'm wanting to put the auto box behind a 1hd-fte. But they are fly by wire pedal.
I was thinking if you could adapt a adjustable waste gate to the line pressure cable so that it now becomes boost referenced.
Idea being that at low boost you get low torque and smooth shifts from the tranny.
High boost and high torque you get firm to harse shifts. And from my understanding high line pressure gives you a longer life of the tranny because there is not as much friction plate slip.
Can any body shed any light on this subject or from there own experience, cheers
