Most of these were shot with me simply placing the camera lens against the windshield and against the driver's window while driving. I was 100% relying on auto-focus and auto exposure. No, I wasn't looking through the lens while driving.

Unreal, simply unreal. Keep up with the picture uploads:D

Beautiful, Jon! I used to drive that route to and from college (MN<->CA), and have some of those same scenes seared into my memory. Drive safe and have a blast at Moab.

I had the most awesome pleasure of getting wheel with Jon and he is one of the nicest guys I have ever met, and a heck of a driver too!

This was his first Cruise Moab, and was my 12th time, and I always get a special pleasure from turning people on to our little event for their first time!

wait until he posts pics of the hell ;p

Hell's Revenge, that is :D

Jon stopped off in Denver for a quick visit and dinner with us last night and his excitement with the Cruise Moab experience was palpable. Thanks for dinner Jon and sharing your memories of a great trip! We look forward to seeing more of his pics.

Yeah he told me about it. Sounded like fun! That was a pre-run IIRC, right?

Jon - did you get any pictures of my air-conditioned crankcase when you stopped by?

Explanation for those who haven't heard: I had a little engine problem on I-70 on the way home :D

correct - on Wednesday, mostly Copper State Cruisers - picked up Jon while waiting for tech at Slickrock

I was hanging around camp and Claudia adopted me into the run. It was a good introduction to slickrock wheeling. I'm pretty used to putting my truck in stupid positions, but at one point I was looking down on this Matchbox size person who was spotting me and leaned out the window with a, "Are you f*cking kidding me?" It was way cool.

As far as the hole in your block, I took a quick peek inside the engine bay, saw that you were surrounded by 6 or so others that stopped. I said, "This isn't a trailside repair, I'm going to Jersey".
I assumed you got a flatbed home and are probably almost done swapping in the spare 2F.

In any case it was a pleasure to meet you and all the others over the few days I was there. If you're ever back east, you have a place to stay.
