but at one point I was looking down on this Matchbox size person who was spotting me and leaned out the window with a, "Are you f*cking kidding me?" It was way cool.

I thought that's what your 3FE said to you when you were climbing I-70 out of Denver up Mount Vernon Canyon? :D

As far as the hole in your block, I took a quick peek inside the engine bay, saw that you were surrounded by 6 or so others that stopped. I said, "This isn't a trailside repair, I'm going to Jersey".
I assumed you got a flatbed home and are probably almost done swapping in the spare 2F.

Charlotte is in Hugh's yard at Safari Ltd. in Grand Junction with all my camping gear still in the back. Steve Brady from Rising Sun trailered me from where you saw me on the side of I-70 to Hugh's shop. His trail rig is a trailer rig and no way was it going to be driven all the way to Denver. All hail Steve for his help, Stephen Rudy for giving me a ride home and all my fellow cruiserhead friends who stopped to see if they could help. Right now I am working on trying to get her home to make repairs.

In any case it was a pleasure to meet you and all the others over the few days I was there. If you're ever back east, you have a place to stay.

And you know you have a place here too if you pass this way again!

Ouch. Rzeppa, do you have pictures of the damage? I am curious:D

No, that is what I was asking Jon about! While we were in the side of the highway I was too busy trying to arrange transport to get out the camera and take any pictures. Trust me, it was something I have never seen before and I have been driving cruisers, even crippled ones, for 30 years!

Once I get her home I am sure there will be time to take some pictures and post them up. Let's just say you don't want this happening to your engine!

Positive Crankcase Ventilation

Jon was nice enough to stop and see if I needed help. He looked at this and shook his head and said "This is not a roadside repair". I got her home today and took a couple of pictures. I realize this is Jon's thread but I thought you guys might get a chuckle.

Most of these were shot with me simply placing the camera lens against the windshield and against the driver's window while driving. I was 100% relying on auto-focus and auto exposure. No, I wasn't looking through the lens while driving.

Vail to Moab...it doesn't get much better. First time in 4 years I couldn't make the trip, those shots are like old friends

HOLY CRAP! That is the first time I have ever seen a 2F with a hole in the side of the block. Where can I read the whole story?

Jon, I'm looking forward to hearing your stories at Dave's on Memorial day!
