There are no issues with running a spare in the stock location with the bumper. Keep in mind, if going to larger tires (35"+), the max spare tire size is around 34" in the stock location.
Agreed that it would be ideal to have an integral support.
I made a quick and dirty solution using a stainless steel cushion clamp. I should have checked before mounting but I believe it's a 1" clamp. In retrospect, I should have left it as a...
That's exactly what I did. There's enough slack in the lines and room. Moved the whole AHC pump tray back about 3/8" by redrilling the rear mounting bolt and flattening a tab. Relatively easy and nothing has to come apart. It helps to get a...
37s are on.
How? Cut, beat, cut, weld, repeat….
@Zjohnsonua did most the heavy lifting on this phase.
Still plan to go back in a couple of months and dial in the AHC with new spacers and raise the rear lower shock mounts. I also still have a...
And while I'm in there...
This E&E low profile rear bumper is a thing of beauty. Fits with precision I've not seen on anything automotive before. The engineering is even more impressive as I'm contemplating how this metal art all comes...
I put my 24 GX550 OT coilover onto the 250.
With the gx coilover on it is 21.875" Hub center to fender lip.
From what I can find stock height is 20.75" hub center to fender lip.
Increase height of 1.125
I bet the 25 springs will net a 2-2.5"...
Hi! I've been lurking on this forum for few years but never posted anything.
I just got back from my extended Burning Man/Memorial Day trip and can’t stop raving about the modular sleeping platform I picked up from BamBeds.
My criteria were...
I have nice one made by another small CNC shop and it is awesome.
I actually keep it clean in the recovery bag during trips because threading the appropriate sized soft shackle through takes a minute (so it just stays in there), and I wouldn’t...
Finally removed my old trailer hitch shackle recovery point and upgraded to the E & E Offroad low-profile soft shackle recovery point. Low profile recovery hitch for soft shackle E&E Off-Road -...
For the rear spacers I recommend the following:
Brake lines (these are for a tundra which are already longer than the 200 series and then 2" longer)

Rear axle breather...
If you’re in San Diego and want to upgrade to 35’s, I emphatically recommend going to The Truck Shop!!! From what I was reading on here, it’s pretty challenging and there’s quite a few alterations needed to fit 35s on a 200, but they did it with...
It’s official, I’m calling it. I put in 15 miles of forest service roads without any popping. It was that flipping rock hiding back in there. How it made it in between the frame and body to be wedged back in there must have been lottery odds...
Hit up a local forest service road this morning for a solo drive. Fall is right around the corner and can’t get here soon enough. The new Kings and regear are so good.
The 80 is gone and the 200 is the next chapter! Well I have already put over 100k on her. Just switched from Toyo MTs to Toyo R/T pros. Love the pros!
Next mod is to replace the outdated head unit with a much bigger screen ! Any thoughts?
Reluctant, and possibly too embarrassed, to call victory yet but I may have a contender for the noise source.
I found this stone wedged between the body and frame right at the body mount which is under the passenger foot well. It was wedged in...
I’ve never heard of this brand. I would have one concern that is worth confirming:
It looks like this design bolts to the factory tow points and frame horns only. Want you want here is a clevis that goes through the ends of the frame so it...
Since I have some stock 24 GC550 OT coilovers sitting on the shelf, I guess I could slap them on the 250 to see what height they put the 250 at.
Then it should be pretty easy to tell how much increased height the 25 GX550 OT springs would give...
Roadtrip to Pike's Peak, Breckenridge, and Denver this past week. Even got to drive up one of the ski lift roads in Breckenridge. Lots of rain but a walk in the park for an LX approaching 200K miles!
