Liam,
We're not talking about the same parts. I had the screen on the dashboard replaced, which controls the audio and climate control, in addition to the navi. It is more costly to replace than the drive unit under the seat.
I had mine replaced last year by the dealer. They have an agreement with a company that rebuilds them and offers a 1 year warranty for $1250...tack on the $95 labor for the dealer to install and I was out the door for around $1350. It hurt, but it was still better than buying a OEM from the...
Time to get the timing belt done. Can anyone advise me on a local facility that may be less expensive (but equally skilled) than the dealer?
Charles Barker Toyota faxed me a price of $657 for parts/labor on TB & WP.
A company that I do business with is selling this (one of the owners drove it since new) for $15k. They claim every bit of service has been done at the dealership. Should I be leery of such a low price or is this a great find as a result of a down economy?
Is 120k miles too many for a 5-6...
I was thinking about flushing my transmission fluid soon, but I'm at 88k and it was done last at 40k. Should I do the flush or just a drain/replace several times over the next few oil changes, to prevent causing problems with buildup breaking free? Is 48k too long to go without replacing?
Not sure how it happened, but it has.:crybaby: I was thinking the heat may have played a part in it, but I guess there's no telling.
Any suggestions on where I can find a used or remanned replacement display assembly? Or is this something I can send out to be fixed, since the unit is still...
On my P275/65/18s, I'm running between 40 - 42. This makes the ride just a little bit rougher, but I like the way it rolls and handles. Also, it adds about 1 mpg more than running the recommended 29/32.
On a side note, I just put 1100 miles on them over the past 3 days and they were great...
Mine stay in. The 3rd row seat are the only back seats I currently have installed. I've completely removed the second row and now my friends call it my Toyota "limo".
A friend of mine hooked up a 100 to a Dodge 1/2 ton on pavement...neither vehicle moved. He DID say that if it was a HD, the dodge would've yanked the 100 all over the parking lot.
He's tried this with several vehicles.
