It was an operator error tried to pull a 5 ton schackle through the fairlead.
Checked keys in the the drive shaft as per superdupercruzer. All intact .(thank you for your advise.
Will need to pull the PTO next. Ti check the key in the output flange as per kbushnz .

My pto winch is slipping with gear noise under heavy load only.
Checked the bronze gear in the winch and all splines on the drive shaft. All ok. Break pin replaced by 6mm bolt also still intact.

Any thing in the pto it self that can strip but still function normal under light load.
Had a heavy "binding" spot in my steering. During change out of CV's front drive shaft to chromoly and changing the diff ratio's we noticed the tie rod ends were due for change. Next day driving found this being the cause of the binding
