Good week for the LX.
Got new seat covers for the front.
At Miyaki Motorsports in El Monte I had them drain and fill the:
Front and rear diffs
Transfer Case
Transmission
Got a key with a fob so I can unlock / lock via remote now.
Mine was on there pretty good too, and you will for sure feel like you’re going to break it, but mine did come loose. Same with the banjo bolt on top, thought I was for sure snapping that baby.
Well, went out to the cruiser this morning After 8” of rain and found the carpet in the passenger floorboard wet. Sunroof is seized up so can’t easily get in there to clean out the drains. I’m really hoping it’s not a windshield leak. Any other...
Decided to check my wheel bearings as part of chasing a “wah wah wah” I get from 45-55 mph. I repacked then 25k miles ago, and the Timken bearings only have 85k since new. No play at all. The nuts were hand tight. Right side black grease around...
New ujoints in the driveshafts, replaced output shaft seal on the transmission (leaking trans fluid out of the transfer case/trans mating surface), and new rear brakes and rotors.
It looks like you are finding your way around the AHC and TEMS systems? Many of us have been there, done that, learnt the hard way, and lived to tell the tale!! Here is some information which may help, and also some suggested causes of the...

New to the 100 series world. Just found this gem. Less than 48,000 miles from new in 2001. Paid a deposit and will collect soon. Must be one of the cleanest 100 series out there. Still has the original plastic covering the carpets and door panels...
Nice work! I’ll have to look into those little bulbs. Fortunately, mine was just the hazard bulb assembly (bulb and socket), so it was a bit easier to replace. Toyota part #90010-09015. $4.83.
Front UCAs and rear upper control arms were pretty shot. The others (shocks, rear LCA) didn’t seem as bad and probably could have gone a while longer.
I’m changing them for peace of mind and for hobby reasons. Zen and the art of Land Cruiser...
Changed out the heater tees and replaced all the hoses and clamps with OEM. Previous owner(s) had only replaced the left side and used worm clamps. The right side crumbled when i touched it.
Also replaced upper and lower rad hoses and...
After 10,853 miles, 3 cracks in my windshield and two oil changes ,I just got back from my Alaska/Arctic circle trip that I took w/ my teenage daughter. These LC are a true testament to great engineering, I had zero issues on my trip. The trip...
Timing belt, water pump, oil change, new coolant, some new coolant hoses/clamps, new brushes for alternator, new air filter, new tensioner, some new pulleys - can’t remember anymore 😂
Wrapped it all up about 3 hours before driving my wife to the...
