I searched, but I could find anybody talking about "upgrading" the windshield washer nozzles. This may sound trivial, and it probably is, but while I haven't been diagnosed with OCD and ADHD I am both. I am VERY particular about my windshield being clean. This is something that is hard to do in the south during the warm/hot months because I hit ALL OF THE BUGS when I drive. This leads me down debilitating spiral that is hard to come out from. I carry one of the cleaners with the squeegee and some invisible glass cleaner...seriously...I have in the back right now.

I am looking for some nozzles that will spray more evenly across the windshield. I know Toyota is super smart and they engineered the nozzles to spray well at highway speeds, still not good enough in my book. Has anybody found any replacement nozzles that fit and will do what I am looking for?

Mine work great... or I'm just used to shi**y sprayers.

This is what I used. It has a fan spray and I prefer the pattern. It's still not amaze balls but it's much better than the 3 jets.

While I find mine work great on our 100, using oem blades. (I also drive 2x 45's with no washers at all)

One thought, maybe if you replaced the motor with one like they use on a fj60 headlight washer, it's WAY more powerful than the window washer pump. I know some models of 100 or lxs had headlight washers, so that may be one idea

Or I bet there are plenty of after market powerful pumps you could use.

I dont find the pump motors to be the problem. Seems plenty of fluid just not spread out enough. I tried the fan spread type shown above but the spray in my opinion is too low.

You think a more powerful motor with the part shown above would be good?

It's the nozzles. They are junk. Go find washer nozzles from a 2003 or so (that body style) Ford F-150. They are amazing and you should be able to somehow retrofit them. This is on my to do list.

I'm leasing a 2016 Chevy Cruze and the washer nozzles are the only redeeming feature on that car other than the $27 lease payment.

My windshield washer nozzles deliver a stream of fluid like an aging prostate.

The OE nozzle has the hose attached straight down, while the Tacoma one has the connection in a straight angle. How do you route the hose?

I am in the minority here that I actually prefer my 3 jets. Wouldn't this be a safety issue when you can not see anything due to spray, and before the wiper wipes off the fluid? Yes, it is only a split second, but accidents happen in split seconds. Maybe I am paranoid...

o_ODid you try the fan spray?

I have some Tacoma/ tundra nozzles (not sure which) in my garage I been meaning to install for the same reason. I'll post the part # in the morning.

A little later than promised but alas....

I had forgotten about the angle connector. It is a problem.
I replaced the short OEM hose, with a longer piece of hose. Without it the OEM hose kinks and you get no spray.

I took video of side by side comparison video, what formats can I use to upload? mp4 isnt allowed.

Inserting a needle (bobby-pin) into to each jet, I adjust the angle of all six (2nozzles x 3jets) to my liking. OEM then works fine for me!

For fun point them up and washes the car behind you... just kidding:mad:

I wonder why Mr T went the "3 stream per nozzle" route vs the fan pattern with the LC/ LX AND GX line (my wife's GX has same nozzles). What's the science behind it? Is the harder stream more effective at washing off the harshest of environmental excrement thrown upon thee by Mother Nature? What is the reason :bang::bang:
