Removing motor, motor/pump or booster assy (motor/pump/accumulator) with master in place. You'll likely have issue with wire screws & nuts on ABS side. They'll very likely will need drilling out.
Pulling master is easy and fast. Only area some...
Thank you so much for taking the time to write back!
How hard would it be to change and replace the brake control wires out without removing the unit from the car? I see two philips screws on each end of wires. So hard to see down there. But if...
Cleaning, drying and packing wire boots with grease. Slow the corrosion, buying some time. But the resistance has already changed (increased) in wires. How much and for how long, and it's affected the motors commutator, IDK.
You can replace...
AHC Pressures:
IF these are the AHC pressure readings AFTER changing from “LO” height to “N” height and AFTER waiting for ~30 seconds to ensure that the raise has completed and the AHC Pump has stopped:
Front AHC spec: 6.9MPa +/- 0.5 versus...
The AHC system is having to compensate for the loss of spring capacity that happens over time, and the harshness that you feel in "Sport" is likely related (though there may be other causes, like fatigued globes, as well).
It's likely that you...
If you haven't yet, go through this comprehensive guide: The ABCs of AHC - How to Measure, Flush, and Adjust all in one place - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/the-abcs-of-ahc-how-to-measure-flush-and-adjust-all-in-one-place.1211999/

Latest report. Prior report had higher levels of moly and nickel, which I'm attributing to the spark plug and valve cover gasket job I did before that oil change. Copper still high, but not changing, so not worrying about it.
Got the wheels and tires on.

25mm spacers
I’m sure this is obvious to most on this forum, but I didn’t know that the front hub bolts foul the hub centric lip on most spacers. I didn’t want to...
I tow a little bit with mine. My camping trailer ls around 2500 lbs loaded and the Cruiser is unhappy going uphill (watching those trans temps was nerve wracking). And on cross country drives you can expect your normally short range/bad gas...
There are a lot of parts that can be replaced ;) . Shock upper and lower bushings, upper and lower control arm bushings, sway bar bushings, ball joints, tie rod ends etc. You'll also want a snap ring kit (with the different sizes), I think.
I...
I changed out my upper and lower ball joints while I was in there but wish I had dealt with my tie rods and upper and lower control arm bushings as well.
Yep. I just rebuild the front end and had a nasty clunk after. I tore the entire front end back apart and it still was happening.
Puzzled, I then realized I never fully torqued down the sway bar link on the LCA. OE ft.lbs and clunk was gone.
I just installed SuperPro bushings on my 2003. That was terrible!!! All of the guidance within this thread was helpful. The need for various chisels, screw drivers, hammers, etc. Got a good workout (abs, neck muscles, arms, back). Probably...
Word of advice... make sure the long bolts don’t have any grease on them... and maybe run some threadlock on the nuts too.
Both my steering rack bolts came free after many trips out, and final moment was in Death Valley after many miles of...
Keeping the thread going here with my experience.
Used Nolathane bushings, supposedly sister company to whiteline? Not sure though, they were about 26 dollars...
Finally:
Some notes:
• oil filter had to go to get some room to remove old oem bushings
• Pry bar was a huge help more of a requirement to move up and down forward and back the steering rack
• Cold chisel worked like a dream
• this job can...
Just installed the SuperPro bushings SPF2987K a couple of days ago. This was my first time doing this job and I'll add some learnings, notes, and one challenge I had some trouble with.
First- thanks to the OP for writing up the how to and...
Yep, that's Every. Single. Pulled. Radiator that I see pics of.
Kind of explains the "you should get a [insert Brand X radiator here], they run so much cooler!" posts.
My advice for anyone changing the rad is to flush the AC evap coil from...
With the 98-03 using Toy LL (Red) and mixed 50/50 with distilled water.
We drain both block drains and radiator. Capture every drop in jug, measuring how much comes out. I get about 3 gallons. More or less depending on if I blow out engine and...
For people looking for answers here- if your timing marks are good all your sensors etc look good- it could be that your crank sensor plate (the brass disc behind the crank pulley) is on backwards.
Its dished outward, and today I had it on wrong...
Perfect! Thank you @2001LC!!!
I actually saw one of your other threads and that’s how I knew I had messed this up😅
I REALLY appreciate your swing of wisdom!!!
