2,600 miles to ouray and back. 13-16.6 mpg depending on whichever way the wind blew.
Zero issues. Kept pace just fine.
I really like the 2F in this truck. 361,000 miles on the original bottom end.
Still needs the 12HT but I want to move into...
Well I’m moving slow. Gotta have surgery on my left shoulder. I’m still able to get a few things done with the help of a friend. Got latches on the Frankenstein tailgate.
Just gotta get the J-hooks attached to the body. I’ll post more as I’m...
Fuel filler hose developed a leak after GSMTR. OEM filler hose, original to moonshine I believe, was so hard I had to use a monkey wrench to kink it in the middle to get it out. Amazon special fuel hose installed, although I should have cut it...
The stickies are incredible. Trail 15 at windrock took us 13 minutes, including a few minutes of ****in around on turtle rock. Did cadillac hill to rail trail too, and even though it was wet (winch fest) , the tires crushed it.
Started at 4 and...
I haven’t even backed out of the garage and I am already doing trail repairs. @Ditcherman, remember all of the fun that I’ve had with my carrier bearing? Check out this bushing from my new carrier mount.
I used another body bushing on the lower...
Little body work done and in primer. Paying customer trucks come first so work may slow a little. Will be working on the doors and getting them ready. Also need to shorten the cage out of the 43 and get it fitted.
I love my tig button. One of the best investments on my tig machine. I run pedal for D/C most of the time, but all my A/C is with the button.
I like the super fine control of the pedal for DC. Much easier to dime it.
Been meaning to give a shout out to the Tig button guy. This is a great piece of kit. One of the best investments. I haven’t used the pedal since I hooked the Tig Button up.
EDIT 2 hours later…
Well the Tig button guy can’t make me not stupid. I...
Doors are on finally.
Lots of fun to drive without the doors but much quieter with them, which was good news. Wasn’t sure if that’d be the case but the sound proofing paid off.
Hit AOAA last weekend for 3 days with Keystone/COVA/Cap LC clubs, annual summer trip. 40 did great with new tires/wheels and hydro assist. Few little things to mess with before next trip, but overall I’m vey happy with how it’s behaving.
Issues...
I forgot I even ordered this stuff I have had so much going on this past week 🙄. But I lost my gas cap 🤦🏻♂️. My fault 109 percent . So I got a new cap and some new tail lenses since I cracked 1 last year . And since I was making an order I...
The truck has been together so long and has no issues. So before SAS it got some love.
Front and rear diff fluid changed. No mixing or issues.
Passive fluid exchange in clutch and brakes. Fluid was cooked.
Power steering fluid was maybe...
This guy is parting a 40 that appears to still have them: @02 champ

On edit:
Looks like it is the two vertical bolt style though... sorry for the false start...
