first things first - a general once over and baseline of fluids and minor/simple repairs. After the basic fluid exchanges (diffs, oils, etc) it was on to the front end. wheel and knuckle bearings, TREs, Shocks and steering stabilizer...

I started to poke about and fix other little things like the intrument bulbs and dash illumination, Cig lighter and replaced the interior light. easy stuff and good instant gratification.

Fuel tank landed. CCOT. Steel. Very nice. Getting to the old one was a bitch. Uncoorporative Rusty bolts. Always love seeing what's under these.

This 4 banger is impressive. NE Missouri is pretty hilly. It's killing it.

It is fairly flat here. Some rolling hills. It goes smoothly between 8,7 and 6. Only drops into 5th if the cruise is trying to catch up 13.5 mpg first tank running 80. Trailer is 100% stuffed. Probably 4000-4500

Got all the turnbuckles installed in the soft top and some new footman loops on the tailgate. Solid top. Looks great. Went on a nice test drive. It runs good. Has a little pop and backfire and hesitation during wide open throttle runs.
