    if this tapping sounds didn't exist before the rebuild, then I'd remove the PS Pump and look at the teeth and see if one of them is nicked. I had a similar issue and it turned out couple of teeth were nicked. This was a pump from NAPA I think...

    Your GRRRRR sound on deceleration is directly related to the rear drive shaft u-joint unhappiness due to the rear differential pinion angle. I doubt it's inside the transfer case, but you are feeling it under your seat which is pretty common.
