I feel bad for all those dogs whose heads are gonna get stuck because they've been cutting it close all these years just as the windows roll up ever so slowly  . Pip did a great job of explaining this product.
Thanks to a member sending me a link to this thread!
The Window Rocket is my product.
I'll start by answering a few questions-
Austin didn't do anything sneaky in his video. He's a stand up dude and calls it like it is. I told him about the...
I highly recommend Import Quality JDM Cars from Japan | Japan Car Direct - https://www.japancardirect.com/, make an account and start looking at auctions, you can get an idea of what HDJ100's are going for, I got mine pretty cheap. I think...

Mate - i think it's advisable to remove the current spindle and start with something similar to Ruffstuff where you get everything you need. Reverse engineering someone else's project is challenging. Australia is the king of these things so I'd...
I'll be in the area and will try to pop into the SAS event in the KOA but hope to run into some of you at least. My spawn can't make it this year :(. As of now, I'll be departing abq on Fri and returning sun/mon. I'll prolly pass Larry heading...
We’re still planning on joining. We’ll be getting in on Wednesday though, so hopefully we can Swing at least one day with you guys! We’ll be in Claudia’s 4Runner instead of the cruiser this time!
I managed to fatigue this part and looking to replace it if anyone has one. This is the front sway bar attachment to the chassis. Toyota doesn't have any in the system, and I'll weld it up in the meantime but most things on my suspension are...

i'd change out the gear but you can drive it in the meantime. It'll be annoying in the meantime. I wonder if you could file it smooth? Make sure this ebay is an actual dealership, otherwise, go straight to the dealer or an online dealer for...
if this tapping sounds didn't exist before the rebuild, then I'd remove the PS Pump and look at the teeth and see if one of them is nicked. I had a similar issue and it turned out couple of teeth were nicked. This was a pump from NAPA I think...
I squeezed in a ride this morning before the brutal heat returns, my usual neighborhood/suburban route. Except today, on my favorite part of the ride (gravel, dirt), I hit some soft, deep pebble-sized gravel at about 15mph which grabbed my front...
Your GRRRRR sound on deceleration is directly related to the rear drive shaft u-joint unhappiness due to the rear differential pinion angle. I doubt it's inside the transfer case, but you are feeling it under your seat which is pretty common.
My 4runner probably has a similar recessed mount and the skid protection I got from Eimkeith doesn't account for it. I need to mimic your design before installation.
i carry a stash of various lengths of noodles and some smaller sections of 1" thick foam pieces in the cargo area for those sudden rattling sounds that may pop up on trips. I'll head to the San Juans again tomorrow and it'll rain as usual so...
Another victim of mine, baaawwwwaaahhaaaaa :flipoff2:
I love how the bolt sits inside the protection system (circled). This is a key piece of detail that I think other companies might ignore. This puts the hardware exactly where they belong...
After Ali helped me with the rear springs he educated me on coil spring suspensions. He had two suggestions. First, get skids on the trailing arms. Second, correct the angle on the track bar. As much as I give this fella crap for spending other...
I'm now using a high tech method of preventing the pooling of water during rain events and also to eliminate flapping during wind events. I simply cut up some pool noodles and wedge them on top of the arm and below the awning. This tightens...
Wrap Up
I thought I would wrap this project up with a post on some of the final steps I took to get this winch up and running, and installed on the truck.
While I was [very] slowly working my way through this winch rebuild project, I phoned...
