Very cool! I've also seen the "truss" style ones and have thought about fabricating something like that for myself. I could probably make two and sell one for enough to cover my costs for both of them considering what people want for them.

Close! Its a far less common Franklin Crane Co Size B made in Franklin PA. I have had it for a few years, bought it from a family friend who was cleaning out stuff from his grandfathers garage over in Ohio. At the time i thought i was being...

New to me vertical mill. Traveled here all the way from Michigan.

Latest distraction from what I should be working on - picked up 2 Champion R40 15hp compressors for cheap from city auction. Newer one supposedly runs fine but had bad oil leak. Turned out to be leaking from low oil shut-down switch which was...

Here’s a custom range hood to go over your custom range: Pics were just sent to me earlier this week by our very own @Redgrrr . He’s a cabinet maker and finish carpenter.😉

As a side note, it turns out that my go-to local business that I get crushed limestone for my road from, is owned by a Cruiser head with a nice 60 and 80. Found out when I rolled up to his business in my 40 one day a couple of years ago...

Work continues at a decent pace on the house; I have to balance between doing enough consulting work to pay for the house work, and the actual time to work on the house. Most of the recent progress is pretty boring photo-wise, just more layers...

It ran pretty well all things considered. It was fine on the trails there in the San Juan Mountains; where it was harder was going over some of the high passes on paved roads to get there. I would have to downshift sometimes down to 2nd gear/35...

Thanks, it's a "vanity" call sign that I requested, after all of the other three-letter combinations I wanted (including my first name) were already taken.

Bought this plate from SWAG Off Road years ago and finally got around to setting up my old portaband. Original plan was to do a square tube frame but got to looking at some scrap plywood and knocked out this base today. Thinking it might be...

Not sure this is allowed here. If not please remove. I posted in the Stolen Forum, but not sure people really see that area. But figured getting as many cruiserheads eyes on the lookout might be best. Plus added some thoughts at the end on what I...

One of my employees had a genius suggestion over the weekend. The bandsaw has wheels, doesn’t it?

So I’ve been wanting to do this since I put my lifts up (I have three Challenger 10k’s) three years ago, decided to finally try it on my front lift that sees the most regular use My long arms were 38” long, I cut 8” off of the outer arm and...

Try to remove a body using a 4 post lift. For me the 2 post is more versatile and takes up very little real estate in the shop. If I was looking to maximize car storage then, of course, a 4 post is the only way to go. I really have nothing...

My Trio arms have a lot of adjustment and can go pretty short. I haven't had a 40 or 60 on there but there was no issue with my 75 series pickup, 45 Troopy, or 55. Had my BIL's Tesla on there a few days ago and those lift points are right at...

If I ever get another 2-post lift I'll probably go with flatter 3 piece arms. I've had some issues w/ my Atlas on smaller/lower cars like TR6 and HHR - pads too high, arms too thick, long, short, etc. I've been able to lift but have to get...

I have not cut lift arms down, but I have made a lot of custome attachments for the ends of arms and I was planning to make a setup to replace the arms completely just for lifting bodies off frames by the pinch weld.

The XPR-10A-LP has a minimum pad height of 3-1/2”/89mm. The reference you found with 4.25” min height most likely has the screw pad adjustment feature ( nice feature). Access to a lathe opens many possibilities for custom applications vs...

Curious how high the arms are at their lowest? My Rotary SPOA10 asymmetric with the trio arms needs 4.25" of clearance. One reference I found for your lift also said 4.25" but I couldn't be certain if that was for the LP - but it appeared to...

I'm in the process of selecting 2 post lifts as well. From the research I've done, you need just over 12' for most 10k lifts, and 14'+ for most 12k lifts. I was looking at both Bendpak and Rotary and will likely go with a set of Rotary SPO 12s...

I’ll play along! The Bendpak XPR-10A-LP is a certified 10k lb. Asymmetric Low profile lift. I’ve seen some lifts require a floor jack (prejack) to lift say a Corvette for the lift arms to clear prior to lifting. Not a big deal, but somewhat a...

Got both sides flat/parallel. Lost ~ .25 - 1.25 from thickness. This side is going to get a lot more sanding and then I might try walnut oil at suggestion of woodworking friend. Original plan was three legs but thinking now I might try to find an...

Most two-post lifts have uprights that are 12' and change. My Dannmar lift is under a 14' (apex) roof in my shop.
