Took it grocery getting! Felt good, first real drive in 6 months. Both axles rebuilt, new brakes plumbed and new suspension. Rode nice! Also found a few more items to add to the fix it list.
Replacing my door window track weather stripping runs with new track from City Racer and window felts. The biggest pain is removing the glass, but boy is it nice and snug now. Also got to evict a few more bugs and treat some rust spots...
Installed 2 degree front caster shims for my OME 2.5” CS001F suspension with 33” tires. The steering was pretty good without the angle change but what a solid and noticeable improvement with the shim. This calibration had a nice return on my...
Wait until you take it off road and find out you’ve got a new granny low range! It seriously can crawl a 40 over the rocks. In this shot I’m crawling the Karma Cruiser over a rock with the GR starter bc the 3speed low range was still too tall for...
Being familiar with doing tile work, I opted to use a grout saw to take out the old seam sealer. HF had one with a saw blade that looked interesting…for $3!…so I bought it. Made a few passes with it for depth, then switched to a matte knife. 20...

New cowl vent drain tubes from City racer. I put some old screen under the vent to maybe keep out some crud. Was leaking into footwell. Wish i remembered the grommets too, lol

The carb @charliemeyer007 identified would not be my first choice for a rig that is going to be desmogged. A 75-80 non-US Aisan carb, sometimes referred to as a 61010 or 61011 would be the best choice. Behind that would be a 75-77 stock Aisan...
