My truck is ifs, and without changing the ucas, there will be nothing I can do to rectify. And the ucas can't be replaced because the torsion bar suspension.

If that is just the axle tube with a steel sleeve in which the bearing gets pressed, I'd say clean it and get a new bearing in there and you should be good.
