Starting to look like a car, pheeew...
Got some new Koytos in the buckets. They were a gift from my buddy @Beno. Finally getting to use them. Thanks Onur!!
More of it is done! Radsupport , radiator, ps pump.other odds and ends under hood. Getting close to turning the key to check that all systems are good.
My original dash support was cut by some PO, so I took the time to weld in a piece I cut out of a spareI had laying around. I'd have used the spare, but it is grey.
Looking to get a set of clean factory bumpers for my 60 project. Will post both my front and rear kaymars for sale.
Anyone who has a set for sale let me know.
Thanks.
Replacing the expansion valve and the pressure switch. Got the wiring cleaned and re-taped. Should start buttoning up the dash in a ouple days.
The evap is not as dirty as my pickup's was.
Guys, for those in the know, the pressure switches and expansion valves wouldn't be voltage specific, would they? I'd like to replace mine before I button up the dash. Finally figured out where my AC compressor wire was hiding. Previous owner did a hack job on the system and wired the compressor...
Finally got the cab back on the chassis. 8 months since it came off!! I'm gonna die an old man by the time this thing is ready.
Anyway, got a new body mount set, trying to gwt as many new parts on this as possible.

Looks great so far.
The pics show the setup prior to tightening. Also, had a piece of cloth stuffed behind the hole to try and contain the metal shavings from going in. I then vacuumed the hole, which is why oil is present. I tried photographing the threads, but, oh well.
Don't you all hate it when one good thing goes bad? I wanted to replace the oil pressure switch, since mine had the wire connecting tab broken. ****en thing broke in the block. What a headache. Anyway, had to drill it out. Of course the threads got drilled as well, cause how were they not going...
I watched this on BAT last week. 'tis a copy of my HJ60 down to color prior to repaint. Mine was brought over from Germany, but was in the saddest of shapes. I'm in my 4th year restoring it, actually coming up on 5 years now. I say she's gonna treat you just right.
Congrats!
I had two kinds rattles in my hj60 back when I got it, both coming from the gear box, so it seemed. One turned out to be the throw-out bearing, which seems to be the case with yours, since it goes away when clutch is depressed. The other was wear on the counter shaft, which was audible only with...
