I am running a series wound DC motor. Unlike an ICE higher rpm is not more power.
As the rpm goes up the power curve levels off. When I want to pass someone I shift up to a higher gear to lower the rpm and gain more torque.

I moved my gas tank from inside under the pax seat to the rear with an aft fuel fill which required a 12” hitch extension so I could fill it with bikes on the rack.
I drove it to work this am. It fired right up vs a labored cranking. And to be fair, the starting is the only reason why I thought I’d do the timing.
Crazy what a difference. Seemed to do well on the interstate too.
