@MooseMichaels, You should be able to use your main fuel line as a return and bend up a 1/2” (12mm) as the main. I don’t think they came from the factory with an inline lift pump but I have not researched the 1hdfte that much. Check your fuel...
Its not just diesels. CA has restrictions on imports in general. Most imports, even gasoline cars are registered out of state. I'm sure it depends on where you are in the state and what connections you have but it's not common.
