Finally started on my bed platform for my big adventure to Alaska this august!
Used 1/2 plywood for the base, 5/8 for the top part and 3x lengths of 1x8 boards to create the platform.
I also bought some 1x1 boards but never really found a need...
Is not a bad idea at all. There are several options that don’t suck. I’ve hauled fuel for various mining camps on a larger scale in massive bladders. Here is a smaller option. There are several more. If you need more links I can help...
I have 6-7 years (1-3 trips a year ) of hard wheeling on mine with V8, 35-37” tires, front locker on, and 100:1 low gearing the entire time. If I am wheeling it is because I had to drive 12 hours out of Florida minimum to hit a trailhead so I...
For anyone who wants to know All done and in, looking tidy went in without any trouble bolted straight up to the auto runs and drives nice. Massive difference in power like driving a completely vehicle. Feels like it has more pick up than the 80...
It was made by @kelly saad of LANDCRUISER GRILLS. It was a prototype and since he did not have the car, it was a shot n the dark. I spent a day modifying it so it will ‘semi’ fit. I think that Kelly will make them if there is a relatively...

I’m more of a bunker and manifesto kind of guy. Wait what?
Was thinking a belly mower. 16ft. Between down there and up here we’d have the market cornered. You in? Design it sell to the highest bidder.
I think between that giant shovel and the truck weighing 20k lbs, you could probably get rid of some grass.
Maybe a few bodies while you're at it...
That thing has "digging mass graves" written all over it . 🤣🤣
Alternator rebuild 4
I got a machine shop to blob on some aluinium weld to the rear adjuster bar face of the alternator, which I filed and ground to shape. Not a very neat job, but it lines up perfectly.
New front bearing pressed into the...
Starter 6
Now just the finishing touches. A new rubber boot for the motor-side terminal.
New felt cover for the armature bearing, new lock piece (either previously lost or never fitted), new O-rings for the long motor mounting bolts.
A new...
