I love the look, but specifically didn't want the tech. That's why I specifically bought the LC100. My other car is a NC Miata. Same thing, all fun, no tech. It's the perfect balance for me, but not for everyone. Enjoy!
Nice find! Glad you connected to Chris, he's super knowledgeable, very straightforward and detail oriented.
I can't tell from the picture but if the only failure of the clear coat is on the hood, there's a few people here on the forum that have...
As a heads up - mount adaptors for the Wolfbox G900 are now available! Courtesy of @cbbr shipping me his G900 so I could measure it & perform fitchecks:
I'm also doing a bulk order of the #129 mounts, so in the future folks will be able to...
Welcome! Great LC community here in ATX, hope to see you at one of the gatherings and check out your wagon!
Here's mine in case you see it driving around!
We have a 2016 200 in addition to our 100s. It's a great daily driver/road trip machine but IMHO doesn't have the same feel/"soul" of a 100, and it feels wider on the trails. The traction control systems are insane, but it's LOADED with sensors...
Living in Idaho, I'd skip any 100 with rust, you have the benefit of nice dry rigs up there. I have a great friend who lives in Mountain Home who's had a half dozen 100s (maybe more by now) and there's never been any rust on any of them.
you also need to wonder how much more rust in inside that hasn't come thru yet. you currently see a small area but it could easily be 4-5 times that
yes it can be fixed/repaired, if cost isn't an issue
if cost is an issue, that is where the...
I've spent a ridiculous amount of time researching gearing, primarily comparing the benefits of regearing the diffs vs. regearing the transfer case. For background, mine is a '99 which has stock 4.30 gears in the differentials and came with the...
New to the 100 series world. Just found this gem. Less than 48,000 miles from new in 2001. Paid a deposit and will collect soon. Must be one of the cleanest 100 series out there. Still has the original plastic covering the carpets and door panels...
Thanks for the update, glad you got it resolved and back home! @cruiseroutfit sells a handy-dandy front bearing kit that comes with everything needed, it's a great one to have in the spare parts kit; I have one tucked under the driver's seat...
Definitely looks like factory Toyota hardware... The fact that Land Cruisers are a global vehicle yields all these fascinating (to me, at least) little quirks associated with the need to meet rules and regulations in 100+ markets. Example: many...
