What have you done to your 100 Series this week?

I've been running those for 5+ years on both 100s, so for the price, the longevity is great!

    New member - New "Build/Refresh" 98 LX470

Nice find! Glad you connected to Chris, he's super knowledgeable, very straightforward and detail oriented. I can't tell from the picture but if the only failure of the clear coat is on the hood, there's a few people here on the forum that have done very respectable rehabs by sanding down the...

Can't decide if I should keep it, or sell 100 series for 200 series

We have a 2016 200 in addition to our 100s. It's a great daily driver/road trip machine but IMHO doesn't have the same feel/"soul" of a 100, and it feels wider on the trails. The traction control systems are insane, but it's LOADED with sensors and chip driven features that I worry will be...

Rear Tailgate Toyota Emblem and Landcruiser Lettering Blackout

I don't know that there is an overlay kit made like you see for 4Runners. I painted mine with HyperDip Satin Black and it looks great.

    Cost to repair hatch rust?

Living in Idaho, I'd skip any 100 with rust, you have the benefit of nice dry rigs up there. I have a great friend who lives in Mountain Home who's had a half dozen 100s (maybe more by now) and there's never been any rust on any of them.

    Regearing 100 series. Thanks

I've spent a ridiculous amount of time researching gearing, primarily comparing the benefits of regearing the diffs vs. regearing the transfer case. For background, mine is a '99 which has stock 4.30 gears in the differentials and came with the weaker 2-pinion front diff and the factory rear...

    Breakdown, front brakes or axle?

Thanks for the update, glad you got it resolved and back home! @cruiseroutfit sells a handy-dandy front bearing kit that comes with everything needed, it's a great one to have in the spare parts kit; I have one tucked under the driver's seat, it's good peace of mind.

strange JDM HDJ101 rear seat special bolt? tamper resistant security?

Definitely looks like factory Toyota hardware... The fact that Land Cruisers are a global vehicle yields all these fascinating (to me, at least) little quirks associated with the need to meet rules and regulations in 100+ markets. Example: many years ago I imported an FJ62 from Venezuela. After...

What’s the paint code of this Land Cruiser at the museum?

Correct, that's the factory "color" of the OEM "STD" trim (a.k.a. "poverty pack) bumpers, which aren't painted.

What’s the paint code of this Land Cruiser at the museum?

Also known as Third World Beige or Taliban Tan? :) There's something beautiful about 80/100/200s that are built for utilitarian purposes vs. carting the family around the burbs. I'd rather have that color than any color offered in the US, it speaks to my Third World soul! :)

    Project Miramar - LX470 Build

Those wheels/tires on the trail will lead to possible kidney displacement! :) All kidding aside, I like your plan and the mileage on that truck...how's the interior and undercarriage?
