I spent last weekend prepping the front end to accept some 37's over the winter. Followed the amazingly detailed post by @TeCKis300. Sourced an Eastwood roller from Marketplace. I had to grind two stud holes to fit the 5x150 pattern and used a...
I think the E&E 13mm front spacer and the E&E rear lower shock relocation bracket are getting conflated here.
FRONT: just get the E&E 13mm spacer, that's the only part needed for the front suspension. This is the simplest product that maximizes...
I did the NST 1.5” body lift first and will be adding E&E’s parts front and rear, and going to try to stuff 37’s with minimal trimming to start all without touching the ahc sensors. But we’ll see what happens. Finding the perfect wheel offset...
The bouncy ride after sensor lift is a classic symptom of worn accumulators. You're right that accumulators should be in your future. It'll be the best money spent and you'll be surprised how great the ride is after.
E&E Off Road 13mm front...
Oh gotcha...I just reread everything again and still thought everyone was moving the aluminum up and was still confused about trimming the foam lol. Thanks for the repeated clarification for my slow brain lol. I'll look at it and see if moving up...
At the front, no one has raised the entire aluminum crash bar, that I know of. We have all just moved the small L shaped brackets that hold the bottom of the bumper on (upwards the amount of the body lift). That’s why we cut the foam to...
I need to re-read some of the stuff about the rear bumper...I'm halfway tempted to just cut off the rear crossmember and weld in a new one 1.5" higher up...
Chris
You’re gonna definitely end up trimming the bumper underneath - especially around the tow hitch. And don’t forget to get some starboard or other material to fill the bumper gap
Not much else to report...tonight I bought some jacks to place under the pinch welds, so I'll use the lift to raise the whole truck frame, then place the jacks under the pinch welds, then lower the lift slightly to create the 2" gap to slide the...
Hey guys,
I've started tearing down my 2013 LX 570 to install the 1.5" from Micah. So far no issues. I sprayed all the body mount bolts from the top and bottom to start, then came back the next afternoon and all of them came right out no...
Backorders should be shipped the week of Aug 25th.. and i will have stock on hand.
Also started carrying some other brands, such as Hest, Ignik, Goose gear, Victron Energy, Vision X, and Proeagle jacks and some other brands coming soon..
I am...
Only other thing I could think of is if the head or large washer of the body mount bolt is sitting flat on the body, and not up somehow on the tabs of the sheet metal of the body that are supposed to prevent it from spinning. That seems like a...
Hey guys,I worked here at 74Weld, and this is true.
This is actually want I came here to ask you guys, just out of curiosity. How many of you would maintain KDSS and stock suspension, and for LX owners the AHC. Really just out of curiosity here...
Anyone ever bend an inner tie rod? Couldn’t find anything with a Google search.
This is now the second bent Ironman trailing arm I’ve had in 2 months. Going back to my used, beaten, but straight oem trailing arms.
Skid plate movement. I have aluminum skids and the frame will flex slightly and they’ll bind and pop. Putting some rubber washers between them and the frame resolved it.
Also wanted to ask for some ideas from the group about another question I had asked of me last night from a customer that just had the 1.5” kit installed by a local shop and noticed this…
“…only thing is I get a little feedback or vibration from...
The only place I’ve encountered it with a customer is from the 9th crossmember bolt that was very slightly making contact with the body, instead of hovering over it, as the factory bolt does. The simple solution for that is a small washer as a...
Thanks! Narrows would simplify a couple things. Sway bar and upper UCA clearance. Still would need a body lift, body mount chop, and tucking of tupperwear and liners.
Just whatever the next size up from what you’re currently running (to help with motivation) 😉
Does my rig have to have a running motor to join or will Chad just tow me through 🤔
