I've been meaning to circle back to this thread. I'm 13,000 miles into mine since installing in May. Zero complaints. Wearing evenly, no increase to noise. Easily 1500 miles off pavement and over 10,000 miles of towing. No hard wheeling...
I got a gx overtrail (non plus) for 75k. Got the v6, real off-road 33s, factory lift, ekdss, on board air, heated/ventilated leather sests, no useless third row, 9k+ towing capacity, heated steering wheel, skid plates, cool box(can’t believe how...
Part of the problem is that these springs are offered across multiple vehicles. And while all built on the same platform each is slightly different in weight which will net a different result. This may be a small difference but it's still...
“He said” and “much height” in relation to a “small” trailer is the same as saying “we have no idea”.
This is possibly the least useful thread on suspension on all of ‘mud. Sorry for telling it like it is…
I don't think we know yet what rear axle it is for the production LC250 hybrid. I bet a dollar it's the 9.5. Same as Tacoma hybrid trims.
I do think the 8.2 would probably hold up okay, but I'd rather have bigger rear axle. 8.2 does seem to be...
I’ve done what I’d call light wheeling with and without the trailer, mostly with, and the Timbrens. No issues no complaints, I have the Timbren bumpstops on all corners of my 80 as well. I really like the product.
I did discuss those Dobinson...
The install is simple, couple bolts, standard hand tools.
The ride quality when empty is not as good as stock. The OEM shocks have a hard time controlling rebound as these ramp up in “spring rate” quick when compressed. With some cargo in back...
It definitely helps with cooling. I've gone without mine for years but recently put it back and my temps are a couple degrees lower with no other changes.
I installed the Timbren kit in the rear. Obviously no lift but it solved my cargo and towing issues. At some point I’ll go with higher capacity springs but for now this was an easy fix that stabilized the rear and kept me level when towing.
Those two requests kind of work against one another. A higher spring rate is going to be firmer if the vehicle weight remains the same. It can match OEM ride quality when loaded but you can't really have both. Better shocks of course will...
