Had some things I needed to tighten up on the suspension. Steering was pretty sloppy. Couple of tie-rod bolts were loose.😡 Right knuckle also needed a little tightening too.
Working on the hood, last big piece of the puzzle.

Looks terrific!. Couple questions:
1. Did you make the hard fuel line to the sniper? Or is that a Mosley component?
2. Did Vintage air change the compressor bracket or is that still the OEM alternator bracket I see?
I replaced the control valve a couple days ago. Since then, the front end has stayed up. Looks like it's fixed!
For anyone else that needs to do this repair, note the following:
- pick up a set of flare nut wrenches. You cannot remove the...
Bought from Rockauto, but decided not to install because it doesn’t have the bosses for the OEM dust shield. Harness connection and mounting points are all correct. Asking $100 plus shipping (sells for $140 plus $73 core)
I’m trying to sort out these two holes in red. One is the OEM location for the oil sender. Was the other OEM, or added? It had an aftermarket mechanical gauge and the OEM gauge when I got it. Just wondering which is the original sender location...
I was just reading about a Toyota ac refresher kit a few days ago. It’s a foam you spray into the drain to clean the coil. You’d have to clear out a plugged drain first anyway, so that’s the first step.
Fire damage takes a while to resolve the forest. Were the trout streams silted up or have they had time to clean out the silt? I flew a Bell 212 on the Yellowstone fires fighting the fires that really damaged the forest and later flew the...
I would bet the valve assembly is allowing fluid to pass. When it pressures up to raise the suspension, these valves should close to keep the pressure/fluid in place. I’ve been eyeing this repair and part to avoid being caught with the part no...
Installing the Pressure Switches
The pressure switches require an M10x1.25 thread to screw into the chassis. I wanted switches on the driver door, passenger door and the passenger-side ambulance door (my tire carrier is on the driver side). I...
I ended up sending the intake off to @cruisermatt for a crack repair. Service was fast and price was fair. I also decided to pick up some 3FE exhaust manifolds.
Other general progress:
Cleaned head bolt and bolt hole threads, torqued head down...
One of the reasons I searched and found a Land Cruiser steering wheel was it did not need an adapter and did not really like what was offered in the after market.
