I bought a JC Penny lifetime battery for my FJ40 in 1975. Cost me $55 and, just like they promised, it was the last battery I had to buy for it and that was 47 years ago. Unfortunately that battery put them out of the automotive service business...

I made a couple little brackets like this out of heavy duty washers to mount the 2F air cleaner on a 2F with earlier intake manifold. The first image shows the one I used on the side of the engine block. Perhaps you could make something similar.

Just received and installed the new cable from FJparts.com and it’s seems to be just what I needed. The firewall plate is identical to my original so that should be good there. The length is as stated, extending about four inches beyond the stock...
