for current specs, checkout sig...

plan on replacing the rear springs w/fj60 lift springs like Alan, for a bit more WB.
an ORION would also be nice

Alan,
any more info on your hibrid front pack?
wondering if I will have to change my front after installing my 8274...

go team SUA :D

Hi All:

"Manny," the rig is looking good!

The "hybrid" front spring pack on my rig consists of a combination of OME 40 Series front and rear spring pack leaves.

I dis-assembled each pack and stood on the main leaves to flatten 'em out. The rear main leaf is longer. So I re-assembled the front spring pack with the top two leaves from the rear pack, and the rest of the front spring leaves.

I installed the "hybrid" front packs in a flipped way - with the long side between the axle and t-case. This pushes the front axle forward about two inches.

The stock wheelbase of a TLC 40 Series is 94 inches (IIRC.) My rig measures 100 inches from wheel center to wheel center. I believe this is four inches gain from the longer rear springs, and two inches from the longer front springs.

Regards,

Alan

Heres my BJ71, about as hardcore as i can go in WA and still drive it on the road

Aside from flipped springs, got your standard Skyjacker 4" lift. :D
Pretty much everything of note is in the sig line.

FJ60 PS plus hydro assist.

Old pictures, but you get the idea.

Yes, the 1.5F runs on that angle. :D

Hi All:

"B.C.," nice photos of your rig!

So, where were those pics taken? Name of the trail?

Regards,

Alan

Alan,

The first pic with the drivers tire hanging was shot at the old Avalanche Ranch in Southern Colorado / Nothern NM. The other, was taken in Chokecherry Canyon, Farmington, NM. Both of these pictures are about 5 yrs old.

Thanks for your interest!

Ben
