I was in a friends Tacoma the other day and noticed that the aux. switches are the same size and shape as the ones in my new 100. I got digging around the net and found that the FJ Cruiser can use the Taco switches and had some info. I thought I'd try it out on the 100.
So, I ordered:
Tacoma fog light switch - 84160-04010
Connector - 90980-11090
Wires with ends (4) - 82998-12340
Total cost was $55. The wires and connector are options (and expensive - wires with ends were $4 ea.!), you could solder straight to the switch if you wanted, but they make splicing in very easy.
The Taco switch has two raised ridges that need to be filed off to fit. You could use an x-acto, I used a dremel. With them filed smooth the switch pops right into the blank on the 100 dash. It's also a lighted switch, which is a bonus.
For the wiring, in my pic with everything connected, from top to bottom it's:
- 12v from fog lights
- to relay
- 12v power for light in switch
- ground
