Trying to re fab my doors and am taking off the crusty old rubber seals to put on new ones … any suggestions on how to get the left over off? - I’m trying goo-gone bec that’s what I have in my garage but if there’s something I’m just not thinking of that would strip them clean to prepare for the new would be appreciated.

Also,
Trying to get the interior panels off - unscrewed all the screws visible…read through some older threads - even tried to watch some YouTube videos but still having trouble getting them off without destroying them as they are brittle.

Any guidance (a thread I’m not finding, a YouTube video I’m not seeing) / any extra direction would be much appreciated

You may be able to make new panels and put the old vinyl on them with contact adhesive.

Petrol is usually high on my list of cleaning solvents for jobs like that - you've always got plenty of it to try with and it shouldn't damage the paint

Plastic pry tools will save your door clips and your sanity, definitely get some! Also, you need to pop off your window crank and your door handle bezel first before you get on those panel clips.

Acetone ( or nail polish remover) is a less toxic excellent solvent. Use like brake clean to remove oil in the nail polish remover before trying to glue in your new rubber gasket. My favorite solvent is Methyl Ethyl Ketone Peroxide - but it is expensive and nasty stuff - read and heed the MSDS.

Take off the window crank and door release. Looks like you have the door pull disconnected. Try to remove the speaker. The panel will slide up first then release. Go search/watch some youtube vids on door panels.

If you do damage the door card - they are still available new OE pretty inexpensively (79-84 grey version). Especially if you wanted to lose that door speaker.

100% loosing the door speakers - hated that the PO just decided to saw a semi-round hole in the panel. I’m gunna go with these…

I like this option , but I’m hoping someone has experience with these to let me know if they work well, because I like the positioning, and although they say the kick panel is still usable, even though those speakers will be there, I never use the kick panel anyways, so not even worried about that
