Absolutely.You don't want to use stock pins anyway. @SMG makes an awesome set of SS pins that are infinitely easier to use for this application.

I do have a soft spot for old Datsuns. I had two Roadsters about 20 years ago, a 1600 and a 2000. I barely fit in them, but they were incredibly fun!
Found an old pic of my '68 1600 on 311's.org, THEE Roadster website. I don't know if I have any pics of my 1970 2000. I sold it to a friends sister, she over revved it, blew the timing chain on it, and It went through the hood. I tried to track it down about ten years ago, but no luck.
I would love to have that car back!
