Learning more about early inspection lights, not sure when the plug was available separate or molded in.
All of the early sockets and cages look to be the same.
I am noticing differences in the plugs whether they have holes in the spades or not.
Here are some findings from some parts catalog's I have.

1/58 FJ25 catalog does not list the plug separate, no holes on the spades

7/63 FJ25 catalog plug is available by itself, no holes on the spades

2/61 Fj40 catalog plug is available by itself, holes on the spades

None of these show a blue plastic pouch

here are some photo's. Thanks, John

The marking on the cord may be useful for identification.

This lamp with the molded plug, has the cord marked NIHON BIND DENSEN 1965.

This lamp, also with the molded plug, has the cord marked TOKUDEN.

for the blue pouch, you probably need to look into an fj60 manual. i still have the light from my 1983 and it was in a blue plastic pouch. it has a black cord and a black plastic base and a flat steel hook

Just saw there is already info in the 40 section about factory trouble lights, sorry for the cross post. John
