I hate to do this, but the time has come to sell my beautiful 1997 LX450. This is BY FAR the cleanest specimen I have ever seen in person and is probably only rivaled by some of the ones on this site cared for by the best LC enthusiasts in the country. Great shape runs drives great 190,000 miles. Engine was replaced at 90,000 due to oul leak and engine locked up. Front rear and transfer case lockers. 2" old man emu suspension. Almost new yokohama geolanders. NO RUST, just dust.

For Sale: 1997 LX450, 214k miles, Green with Silver trim, Slee front bumper, Warn M8000 winch w/synthetic line, new controller, OME 2.5" lift, 50% tread 315 Duratracs. We flushed the block and radiator and replaced with Toyota red coolant, fresh fluids in the front and rear axles, as well as the transfercase. We put new axle seal kit on the front axle, new seals, new trunion bearings top and bottom, new axle seals. New front brake pads.

Saw this one and messaged the guy back and forth. 110,000 miles is the best thing about it. Carfax shows originally from New York and 2 prior accidents on the front end. Drivers side has damage from gravel is what he said. The side cladding was screwed back in with self tapping screws. I offered him $8k due to the body work and new piece needing to be done. He did not accept. What do you guys feel is reasonable for this rig?

I'm mostly excited about the price and the lockers, not too worried about it being super pretty inside, that's all cosmetic stuff that can happen down the road after capability mods. Is the body rust worrisome, or something that can eventually be fixed?

Selling my 97 80 series to fund a couple other LC projects. The truck has spent 99% of its life in New Mexico. Ive owned it almost 10 years and my father had it almost that long before me. It is rust free and in very good condition, runs perfectly. 260k miles. Asking $11k obo, and I am motivated to sell.

Engine and tranny are tight, straight body,had rear main seal replaced not long ago, new air con last year for almost $1000 but it's not blowing cold for some reason. it is just beyond the warranty. Once I started communicating with the seller, it got sketchy. Wouldn't answer questions straight, gave me a VIN that was off the first time (by one digit, so it may have been a mistake), gave me the wrong date of ownership twice, etc. But other than it just seeming off, I can't find any evidence of fraud. Has anyone seen this vehicle before? I have a couple of the pics saved in case the ad gets taken down. If anyone knows this vehicle or has better investigative skills, I can PM you the VIN that I was sent.

Saw this on CL yesterday and looks very good. Almost too good. Listing currently shows odometer at 110183 but I pulled up a free carfax report and it states several services done over the past few years in TX and OK but the last recorded mileage was 248,277 on 12/30/2014.
If someone in the DFW area is interested in checking it out, be cautious. Not sure what to make of the listing and carfax report. I entered the VIN number that was in one of the photos. No pictures of the dashboard either.
