I recently had the car in the shop for Inspection, it passed emissions but they said it needs an exhaust to pass inspection.
Also recently dropped the spare tire, and there is some significant rust on the rear portion of the chassis that surrounds the spare tire. The C-channel in this rear section is notorious for rust, and there are threads on how to cutt the C-channel out and replace it, which could be done, but if I were going to keep the rig, I might consider swapping the chassis out on it (Priced at $700 from Cruisersparts.net). We had this vehicle on the side of the road on Nascar weekend, Michigan International Speedway, when it caught the eye of Rutledge of SPEED Network. It is featured in this weeks Rutledge at large video on Nascar.com, see link below. This Classic Land Cruiser needs a good home. The body is rough and so is the frame, but the 4x4 is in great condition, the a/c is frigid, the interior is fair, runs great. Some not-so-nice person stole the catalytic convertors, so the exhaust is loud. Asking $1600 for the whole thing. I was out for a ride on a perfect 77 degree Colorado day and I came across this on 287 just outside of Longmont. All I had was my cell phone but for $1000 it seemed in OK shape. Interior pic didn't work but all looked fairly good inside. Rust in usual areas, mostly around wheel wells. The odo was tough to see.
Don't know the seller and didn't talk to them. Just looking to see a down and out cruiser have a chance with a new owner.:steer:

I Have put roughly 1000 miles on it since the day I bought it. I have replaced the radiator and put in an older JVC kameleon HU. Runs great, but the family life will not allow me to enjoy it as much as I would like. So my loss is your gain.
There is still the damage on the passenger side. I have two replacement doors but have not put them on, they are not white.

Can't decide what I am going to keep but one of the fleet has to go. Whatever sells first.
This is a 21 year old car with 250K+ miles, as such, it has dents and dings, and a few things that do not work properly. It still needs a little TLC to be perfect ( I have only had it a few months) but it is a great rust free example that is hard to come by. It is my daily driver at the moment and I trust it on the road with two kids in diapers daily.
It has no lift but clears the 33x10.50 BFG mud terrains on the stock wheels just fine. I have a small lift sitting in the boxes that will be included.
Price is negotiable depending on accessories you want with the vehicle. I have some good 235/75/15" tires to replace the 33's if you want to save...

I picked this up last summer for parts. It's really is too nice to part out. Frame of course has surface rust, no bumpers, and a couple of dents. The handicap young man I got it from only drove it around his farm the time he owned it. He replaced the dented hood and front lower valence and left fender. I added the newer red door for the dented red original (goes with sale). No frame damage, no inner fender damage. Great interior, very close to mint. No headliner tears, no dash cracks, only small wear tear on drivers seat. 256k on the odometer. I have a 1989 FJ62. I bought it from the original owner. She lived in Napa and believed in regular service and maintenance. I have the folder of receipts to prove it. She finally gave up when her $4k tranny rebuild failed on her. I bought it with a bad tranny and then found a low mileage factory replacement for it. I saw the vehicle that i t came out of and verified the odometer. It had under 130k on it when they did a 5spd conversion. I have since put $1100 worth of tires on it, a starter from Cruiser Dan, and all new factory tune up parts. I replaced the water pump last year too, because the bearing was noisy.
