ABQ NM 1966 FJ40 Patina ride
1966 FJ40 this has a plate from 1970’s for NM. It’s been here pretty much all Looks to be original paint. See pics. When the grounds dry I’ll crawl under it and take some more. But it’s clean underneath. Interior has surface rust but no rot spots. See rocker and sill pics, it’s clean. the motor I can’t turn by hand. I am not sure if it’s seized or stuck. Starter was out when I bought it. Has oil, doesn’t look to have metal flakes. Front axle is bent. On the drivers side. A spare housing comes with it. I assume it was no longer driven after it was damaged as it’s noticeable when pushing and would definitely be noticeable driving. Seats are all there. Same with gas tank. I pulled it to wash it out. what it needs: Gone over...
Kansas: 1965 FJ40
After 8+ years of working on my 40, it's time for someone else to enjoy her now. I searched high and low to find a 40 to build and finally found this one locally. It was bought in Colorado Springs and shipped here by the PO. My first step was to build all new wiring harnesses using wire and connectors of the correct gauge and color codes from @Coolerman and to clean up or replace all the switches and lights. Once I had it running, driving and road-legal, I realized the old suspension was tired and sagging. I ordered up a new OME suspension kit with a 2.5" lift and planned to dive in. My best friend somehow convinced me that the better move was to skip ahead to a complete frame-off rebuild! I dug right in- took lots of pictures, made...
Early 1969 FJ40 - Port Orchard, Wa
Early production 1969 FJ40. 1F 3 speed converted to floor shift. I believe the drivetrain is original. Linkage still on column. Runs and drives well. Has a small leak at brake master cylinder and an oil leak at the remote oil filter adapter hoses, but have new parts for those. New OEM radiator installed. All glass is original and in good shape but the seals could be replaced. Still has the original toolkit, jack and owners manual along with service records back to ‘81. I’ve only had it a year, just don’t have time to drive it and hate seeing it sit. I have a lot of new parts that will go with it and I don’t want to sell them separately. This is what the previous owner did to it. He took great care of it and did quality work. All new...

Virginia Beach, VA / 1973 FJ40
I am currently in the Navy stationed in Virginia Beach, VA. I just found out I am being stationed OCONUS (Rota, Spain) for 3 years- sounds amazing right? Except I can't bring my beloved FJ40. The way I see it -I have two options: Sell or Long-term storage somewhere. In amazing condition! Fresh paint job. Completely restored with a brand new gas tank, clutch, and brakes. Only original Toyota parts used in restoration with original engine. Runs great! The previous owners and I all thought FJ are better kept original. Only upgrades are power steering and 4speed.
Austin, TX: 1977 FJ40 Freeborn Red Patina
After much contemplation, I have decided to sell my 1977 Freeborn Red FJ40 Land Cruiser. I purchased this truck in June of 2019 in Longview, TX. I looked over a year for this particular truck as a clean starting point for my build. It was almost entirely in original condition, including the paint, when I purchased it. Since that time I have been building the truck and doing tasteful mods to keep the heritage of the vehicle true. The previous owner rebuilt the motor, reupholstered the original seats, added new door seals, and coated the floor of the interior. Since ownership I have done the following modifications: Full OME 2.5" Light Duty Suspension Lift Including Shocks, Inversion Shackles, and Steering Stabilizer Brand New Toyota...
