1970 FJ40 in Dallas, Texas
$16,000 OBO 1970 FJ40 acquired approximately 6 years ago to be used for rides around town as a third vehicle. The circumstances have changed after investment of over $25k. The truck was listed on BAT in 2022 (link - 1970 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 - https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1970-toyota-land-cruiser-fj40-60/) , but was unsold as "Reserve Not Met". The advertisement has 150+ pics and remains as listed. The vehicle has been used sparingly and is stored in a temperature controlled garage. Good paint and interior. Below is a brief overview of the vehicle that I can remember: Pros: Holley Sniper fuel injection 4Plus rear tire and cooler carrier with a Hi-Lift utility jack New roll cage (looks awesome) Power steering upgrade...
1969 Toyota FJ40 Peyton Colorado
This is a clean stock Toyota fj40 with only 45000 miles on it. It runs good has no issues would be a good one to restore little to no rust. I haven’t done much to it in the past 10 years just drive it every once in a while. I’ve owned this Toyota for probably 25 years and I’m finally considering selling it for $15,500. If your interested and have questions text or call 719-337-5358 Bobby
Dallas - 1976 FJ40
US SPec'ed FJ40 with approximately 87,000 miles that has been in my position for the last 15 years. Super Clean!! It was built to be driveable and we had a blast using while the kids were around. They are gone now and I need the garage space for other projects. I will try to list everything that has been changed over the years, but it is pretty safe to say that most everything you see has been replaced with OEM parts when available and the top of the line alternative when not. Let me know if you have any questions or need to see anything in particular.

44452 Miles Currently showing, I originally purchased it in 2005. I drove it off and on for about a year , needed some brake work so I put it aside for a later day. Too many trips in the 80 Series and a move to Omaha and I haven't done much with it since. It has been stored indoors since July 2008 . Life priorities change often , so its time to stop sitting on this an let someone else put it to use. $15,000. more images to follow....
1978 FJ40 Landcruiser (Simi Valley, CA)
1978 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser, located in Simi Valley, CA - $25,000 Purchased from Bring a Trailer in 2019 (No Reserve: 1978 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 - https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1979-toyota-land-cruiser-fj40-27/) and has been serviced at K&H Imports in Canoga Park, CA since I’ve had it (I did the lift and most of the small stuff myself, like change the headlights and swap hardware). I believe it spent some time in Colorado as a promotional vehicle, but I don’t know much beyond that. It appears to be a high-altitude model because of the defrost tubes on the sides of the dashboard. Stock 2F engine (runs well and has been smogged a few times since I’ve had it … zero issues). Very stock outside of the lift and tires that went on...

68 Toyota Fj40 FST
Selling my 1968 Fj40 factory soft top, original body, and paint. I have the original soft top doors the lower frames need to be replaced and a set of hard doors. The truck is far from perfect! I built it from a 30-year barnyard find to a daily driver in 42 days 2 years ago. I still drive it daily, and have made a few camping and wheeling trips where I have driven over 1,200 miles to wheel it and then drove it home with no issue! On the highway, it gets 13.5mpg running 65mph. Truck does 65-70 no problem. Steering is nice and smooth absolutely planted, no bump steer, does not hunt the road drives straight as an arrow! The ride is great, the brakes are fantastic will stop on a dime! Does great in wet weather, but you will get WET! Overall...
Fj40 Om606 swap project
Considering selling my fj40 om606 swap project, I started piecing this together while everything was shut for Covid and got all the main pieces together and then things got back to normal and I haven’t had time to finish it. It is a mix of a 70 and 68 fj40 body parts with a later 4 speed transmission and transfer case. I have an abundance of parts for the 40 itself. The engine is a 99 om606 that has a 603 mechanical pump as well as a 648 oil pump and oil pan to convert it to a rear sump. I do have a video of it running with the mechanical pump. It is mated up to the transmission using a speed gems adapter plate. I have at least 8k in the drivetrain alone and then around 6k in the rest of the parts. I figured I would throw it up and see...

Oregon 75 fj40
https://www.facebook.com/share/14JK1Uk9KRb/?mibextid=wwXIfr Bought this a while ago from my brother’s good friend, he had to sell and I didn’t need a project but the nice guy I am I helped him out! This was a Vegas truck stored in a garage that last 4 years. Not driven very often. When I got it home I drained the fuel, installed a new Toyota distributor, new coil and a PerTronix on the distributor. Installed new battery and fuel filter, new wires and plugs and it fired right up. Pretty original truck from what I can see. Has a 2f with 4 speed and drum brakes all around. Has some rust on drivers lower door and that is the worst of it. The rest of the truck is very solid and drives ok. Needs exhaust currently has a cherry bomb. Brakes are...
1974 FJ40 in Fort Collins, Colorado
This vehicle is titled 1974, however frame and body are ~76. The motor is from a 1987 FJ60 with ~190k miles. I've owned it for 20 years and it's been a fun truck. For someone who doesn't mind metal work this could be a great deal. Price: $5500, PICTURES The good: 1987 motor runs and drives well. It was transplanted 10 years ago from an '87 FJ60 with ~180k miles. Power steering HEI distributor The not so good: It could use a carb clean due to not being driven enough Seats are worn Soft top and bikini tops only Side mirror need replacement The bad: Significant rust at the front hanger of the rear leaf spring on both sides (see IMG_7142). Frame will need repair at those two locations before this is driven much. I have one...

Huntsville, AL: 1976 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40
The price is $35,000. I purchased this Jan 1976 FJ40 from Dallas, TX in Nov 2015 and had it shipped to Huntsville, AL in a closed hauler. Additional photos and work I’ve completed over the years are at the following link: 1976 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 · Nov 14, 2015 – Aug 16, 2025 📸 - https://photos.app.goo.gl/nHPQevh8wso7sMh68. The VIN number on A pillar plate, frame, and fender plate near battery match. Fender plate states color/trim codes as 532/LE11 (yellow/gray). FJ40 also comes with five gray steel wheels, hubcaps, five like new Michelin ATX (P235/75R15 LTX A/T) tires, and yellow/zinc lug nuts. This FJ40 has been sold twice at Barrett-Jackson auctions – Orange County, CA in 2011 and Scottsdale, AZ in 2012. A following is a...
1976 FJ40 Rock Crawler Project in Provo Utah
This is a 1976 FJ40, I DO NOT have the title to this cruiser. I bought this as it sits as a rock crawler project that I don’t have time for. It is currently running, but has a broken rear driveshaft. It will drive in front wheel drive. It has a 5.3 LS mated to a 4L60E and an atlas 4 speed transfer case. Front axle has an ARB air locker and longfield chromo shafts and birfs. Rear axle has a lockrite and has been set up with a 4 link that is questionable. According to the previous owner, the motor and transmission were out of a wrecked Yukon with low miles, but I have no way to confirm that claim. I also have a pair of 1tons that I was building for it that are listed for sale locally but could be included in the deal for the right...
Howdy all, Looking to purchase my 1st 40. It'll be a strictly top-off garage toy so not looking for anything too crazy, I already have a built 80 I daily. Open to most examples. Not trying to do a full blown restoration or shell out for one, just want a driver example. Open to any model years. Prefer FST/ones missing the top; would like to save a few bucks there and avoid storing something that wont be used in my ownership. Not interested in any V8/V6 swapped trucks. Also not interested in any 3 speed column shifter ones. Don't care too much about cosmetics. Not interested in anything that's been bedlined. The less rust the better. I know basically all of these have rot. It'll be stored in a garage so not concerned with it getting any...
Hockley Texas 1973 FJ40
This was my dads FJ, he was the only owner and passed away in 2019. I had the FJ shipped from Northern California to Texas. I tore it all down and restored at home in my garage. Everything is pretty stock, its has the original motor which had been rebuilt which has about 20k miles on it. It has a weber carb, a mallory ignition, aluminum fan, electric fuel pump, new starter. It has brand new old man emu shocks, new wheels and and tires, disc brakes, the electrical has all been redone, all new upholstery, all the wheel bearings have been redone. It was tore down to the frame and put back together. New clutch, master cylinder, brand new battery. Im asking $37,999 but I'm willing to take offers. I have tons of photos from the start to...
