1971 FJ40 project - WA State
SOLD! I started converting this 1971 FJ40 to Chevy running gear... but I cannot finish it. Has a partially installed GM 4.3L V6 (carb) with auto trans and t-case. Just started installing it so you could change back to FJ40 motor if you wanted? Missing stock steering column (was going to put GM one in) and missing drivers stock front seat. Also missing headlight bezel since I put it on my 1967. Otherwise pretty much there. Passenger fender needs replaced. Rear corner glass on the hard top needs new rubber. Asking: $850 with hard top $650 without - I have a few trailers so I can haul nearby for fuel costs if needed. I have Land Cruiser 4 speed and transfer case for sale as well in case you would rather do all Toyota?

1980 FJ40 For Sale - New Mexico
For sale is my 1980 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser. I am the third owner. The mileage is unknown but I estimate it has about 100000 miles. Since 1995 it has had about 35K put on it. It has the original 2F engine and transmission. Everything is original to the car with the exception of the lights, radiator, and muffler. The previous owner put european Hella lights in and I recently put a new three core radiator in. The cruiser runs great and starts every time. I've never had a problem with it. It has the typical cruiser rust in the back seal, but is limited to a maybe 3x4 inch area on each side. Never covered with diamond plate, but the previous owner did repaint the outside. I have the original jump seats in the back. They are not...
After a year of conversations and negotiations, the wife has finally given the ok to buy a 40. :bounce: She's finally seeing that it could be a bit of fun for the whole family. She's a good wife, even if she doesn't get the fascination. That year of dreaming and chatting has given me a pretty good idea of what I want. If I can get most of the 'love to haves", I can add the 'nice to haves' to build out my ideal cruiser... Love to haves... - Power steering - Front disk brakes - Factory paint color (mustard, see foam green, tan, white are favorites) - Clean, non-butchered interior - 4 speed (I want to use it as a fair weather commuter - 23 highway miles each way) - Strong daily driver due to the above Nice to haves... - Long jump seats...

This is a 79 FJ40. It is located in North Central Arkansas. I have owned it for about 3 years. My wife purchased it for me for our 10th anniversary. I just don't have the time to work on it to make more out of it. I am asking $3950.00 OBO. It runs strong, always starts up and I use it to travel in the woods with no trouble. It does have rust as you can see in the Pics. The frame is in good shape it had been painted/undercoated quite bit it looks like. My wife purchased it from a company she did some work for and they had it for about 4 years just sitting up not in active use. It came from northern California before that. I have replaced the following: Rebuilt Carb Brake Master Cylinder Fuel Pump Thanks for looking

My troopie is likely sold. After going through 6 LC's in 6 years, I find myself missing my first the most. It was a 67 FJ40 with hardtop, 1F, 3 on tree, bench seats, and very original. I have cash in-hand; i'm looking for: Daily Driver quality. E-67 but will go out a little later; I love the thicker guage steel. Needs to (look) mostly original. Must have hardtop and doors. Original paint is cool as long as it is patina. If repainted; needs to look very much original and have before photos (Sky blue, spring green, seminole red are my favorite colors. Has to have a 1 or 2F motor; rebuilt preferred; documented preferred. 3 or 4 speed is fine. I actually dig the 3 on tree. I prefer the 60/40 bench with long troops in rear...
