Well it's got to go. 1980 fj40 new quarters, rear sill, floors are repaired. Drivetrain is all original. It has a 4" lift, Brand new 35" Swampers, a 9500xd winch, sag power steering, Metal Tech jackson cage. The frame is in great shape. I started building it to wheel it, it is not a show truck it by any means. I would like to sell it local but if it needs to ship I can get it to where it needs to be picked up. I am asking $9000 or best offer.

I am a Landcruiser owner and also a dealer. I just got a 1977 FJ40 with only 90k original miles and it is mostly all original. Someone did a ****py exterior paint job but the interior is all original. All the glass on the hardtop is original too. It has aftermarket wheels and tires. This is rust free except for a few spots of minor surface rust. The tub and wheel wells all look good. The headliner is missing also. As far as the mechanical issues....the there is a linkage issue with the t-case that does not allow it to be shifted into 4 low, it is missing the original smog pump and the most important thing is that there is a bad cylinder in the motor which means it is ready for a swap or rebuild. Fully Built Restored 1973 Land Cruiser – Michigan (Spent its entire life in Southern California) with 122,xxx miles on it.
I jumped at the opportunity to pick up this gem when Mark at Mark’s Offroad was selling it a few months ago. Mark was right, there have literally been thousands of hours put in to this truck and it shows. Well, it is time. Time to sell my fj40 after 3 years of enjoyment, it's time for a new toy. Bought a bigger vehicle for the family and stuff too. So my FJ40 is on the block. It is on am planning to put it on ebay, but I would love for it to go to someone on mud.
I have about $15K invested but I know I won't get most of that.

SOLD SOLD Now on EVILBay ... I was going to build this one ratrod style, leave it 1.5 F (F motor but with 2F oiling system), J30 three speed, open diffs, manual steering, bias tires on white spokes, old skool cool, but I have way too many projects and will never get to it. I have a project that i have gather 95% of the parts. it has a fiberglass tub, fenders, and hood, near perfect frame, Hard top in ok condition, NO DOORS. Mini truck drivetrain 22RE W/harness and computer. Custom rollcage 1 3/4" DOM. This is probably not for a pureist, but will make a fun toy, rock crawler, mud racer or all around daily driver. Only has rollers for tires and rims. I also have two spare metal hoods, spare original gas tank as it has been retofited with a mini truck gas tank. Just like the title says. Frame is good, Body is rough. There is rust and bondo on the body in usual places, holes in usual places. Has a title. No Trans, radiator, hardtop, seats, knobs, motor does not run, etc, etc, etc. Recently got another 40 which came with a bunch of spare parts. Really would like to sell it all together.

Time to sell my beloved 40.. I rarely drive it anymore.
I've also had various 60s & 80s in the past and still have my 96 80 series w/ factory lockers, OME lift, ARB bar, wench, sliders and my 05 100 series w/ OME lift. So thankfully I will not be out of Land Cruisers!
The one I am selling was my first and I bought it in the late 90s. It was someone else's project of partially assembled parts. Danny Warden in Placerville, CA did some of the work and I did the rest.
I drove it on the street occasionally and did do the Rubicon for a few years and some other runs with the TLCA. The last few years it has been parked inside my warehouse but still driven occasionally.
