74 FJ 40 - great rig !!!!!!! $5900
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1974 FJ 40 $5900
 Power steering
 Disc brakes
 35” MTR’s
 Full cage
 New paint
 Detroits in front and rear
 Hand throttle
 Full spare
 Warn hubs
 Weber carb
This is a 1974 fj 40 that I am selling for a friend. It has the original 2F motor and four on the floor transmission. It has a full cage that is welded to the frame. The truck runs good and has no mechanical issues. I just installed a brand new oil pan gasket and shot some new tan paint on it. The body is straight but not perfect….it is not a show queen by any means but still looks good. Has some rust in the rear floor. Overall it is a very solid rig, would make an exceptional trail rig….or could be used as a DD. $5900
I also have a complete parts rig that was taken apart, frame was sprayed in bedliner, new body mounts, brand new lift, hard top, power steering set up, painless wiring harness, very good tub, no rust !!. Everything is there, it was just never put back together, Also have a lot of spare parts ie. Carburetors, motor parts, seats, etc. Will take offers on the parts rig and all parts together or will make a package deal for the one listed plus parts rig and accessories.

I only get like 5 PMs at a time so email josh@sparref.com with questions. Located in Jacksonville, AL but will ship anywhere.

Odometer hasnt worked since before we got it so I dont know the miles.

It NEEDS a fuel injected 350, one tons and coilovers in my book :p

Seriously though, I think that it needs to be driven fairly regularly and there will be very few problems in its future. It is a 35 yr old truck so I am sure something could come up anytime but it has been a good runner for my buddy. I cant think of any parts we have had to change since he got it. Besides some body work on the rust in the back, it might need some axle seals (since they seem to be leaking a little bit by the knuckles) or little stuff like that but nothing to get it running. I think if you came and saw it you would be impressed. Please let me know if you have any more questions or need any info.

great looking rig!! man i wish i had all the money to spend so i can get this and an 80...

Did this sell? If not, wish you were closer. I have a small PU that could be used as a trade, with $$ going with it, but being so far away, I am not sure that it would be worth it on either side. :crybaby:
