jeep ducking?

Went to the local hardware store in my 40. There were a couple of jeeps in the parking lot.

When I was done, the jeeps were gone but someone left a rubber duck on my dash:

Anyone else get "jeep ducked"?

Way back when, someone stuck a garbage pail doll on my Yammahamer. I found because it started to run rough so I started looking around. I put it on a dump truck, 2 weeks that dump truck blew the engine. Gremlins are not to be trifled with IMHO

I have this sticker on my 70 right where, if you are getting your heep pulled out of the ditch, you HAVE to read it....
I get side eyed by many a self conscious jeeper creeper

It started because Cheep owners are often swearing at their Cheeps. People heard this exclamation regularly, but one person (that's all it took) misunderstood it.

You see, this kind person thought Cheep owners were always screaming 'Ducking Jeep!' at their Cheeps. So this simple misunderstanding; mistaking the letter F for the letter D, led to years of well-intending folks putting rubber duckies on Cheeps thinking this was what's the cool Cheep owners do to show their sorrowful solidarity.

So each time you see a Cheep with its windscreen half-obscured by rubber duckies, remember that each one represents a misguided Cheep owner screamed out in exasperation 'Ducking Jeep'...... but the D didn't really sound like a D at all.....

It is a huge thing here on the west coast of Canada Jeep thing. lol I don’t understand it the last guy I asked couldn’t tell me why they do it ,as someone had put 25 rubber ducks all over his Jeep. ,
