This cruiser will get you there and will be sure to get you safely back home. Excellent vehicle for hunting, family camping, or just a nice daily driver that will be sure to get you through the elements. The body is in great solid condition with only a few small and minor rust issues. The original paint was green and was painted I would presume many years ago in the white you see it in today. There are paint issues like scratches and chips but the body is in great shape and should only need minor work to have it ready for a fresh paint job. This cruiser is...

JDM BJ41V
I talked to Woody tonight. He will be helping me sign up as a vendor shortly. For now, I'm trying to gain interest in a few vehicles that Im thinking about picking up. This BJ41 came up on the auction block tonight. If I win it, Im asking $12,995, landed with all fees included. My partner in Japan is emailing me the condition of the vehicle, I will repost it shortly. I know they never sold black, so it is a repaint. There were some nice 60's up over a few nights ago as well.

Saddly after about 2 years of building and enjoying my 1978 right hand drive bj40 I have to let her go. Looking to put a down payment on a house here soon. http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/cto/4139544343.html The ad has most of the information but theres definitely more! shes a beautiful tuck and runs great! -Garrett heres an incomplete build thread I did a while back: https://forum.ih8mud.com/40-55-series-tech/597174-1978-bj40-rhd-build-southern-california.html
I am looking for a 1977 or newer BJ40. I'm willing to travel anywhere in the continental US to pick one up. I'm even considering a trip to Central America to buy one if I can't find a decent truck here. I am not looking for a truck that's already restored. I'd like a solid driveable project that I can make my owm Must be/have: -Solid body -Original condition (or at least close) -Left hand drive -running/driving I don't have an exact dollar amount that I'm willing to spend, but I have been looking at cruisers for the past couple years and drooling, so I have a good idea of fair market value. I have finally saved up the cash that I can stop drooling and start shopping.
Hey gang, new to the Mud Forum. I've been doing a lot of reading about these machines, not sure if I've read too much and scared myself away but seriously re-considering my options. Was thinking of a 4th Gen 4Runner, but feel like it may be too small for my family of 4 + 70lb lab. So back to the LC or LX 470? It will be my daily driver in and out of San Francisco, 70mile roundtrip. Pros 4Runner: Fuel economy, more City-friendly, nimble, can still hold gear. Cons 4Runner: Feels "small," car seats are a tough fit Pros LC/LX: Comfort, room, can hold more stuff and gear Cons LC/LX: Fuel Economy, expensive tune-ups and parts repair (I'm no mechanic) So everyone has different needs, those are mine. I know its a very broad question...

Restored 76 Fj40 red
I am in the process finishing a few small things on my cruiser (mainly a rear brake line and a few small things) but I will post it for sale now since I have very little time to sell it here in PA before I move. I have a 1976 FJ40, matching number on frame and original engine. I am just finishing the restoration process. I will try to be as detail as I can and answer as many questions that people have to the best of my ability. Everything that is explained as "new" really means NEW.... as of 0 miles put on the vehicle since it was installed. Bumper to bumper description: Frame/ wheels/ Brakes: Brand new OEM front bumper with stainless steel bolts. Frame was cleaned up, Soda blasted and painted. All body mounts are brand new with...
1969 40 - what is a reasonable price?
Hello new to the 40 world and this forum and hoping to tap into the wisdom here. I have an opportunity to get this 40. It is bone stock and in great condition. It has been fairly nicely restored (I don't think frame off though). Paint is apparently just okay. 125K miles on F engine. Don't know if there are any bondo issues and diamond plating may or may not cover rust - just don't know. Wondering what you think is a reasonable price range for this? Nothing at this point needs to be done with it (I'm sure I just jinxed myself on that). Other than flip the grille bezel to the correct orientation... :) Photos of under the hood look good, owner indicated it has some very minor leaking - couple drops in a month. Sorry if...
Hey all, Absolutely no affiliation but I remember seeing this homage to J. Ward's icon series for sale at least (?) twice in the last 18-24 months. Originally on sale in...Georgia? Wondering if the Mud mind knows anything about the original build and/or owner. I recall thinking that it looks as though it was well executed but am surprised to see it for sale 2 (or 3?) times in such a short period. Makes me wonder if something is going on with it. Thanks for your collective thoughts. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Toyota-Land-Cruiser-FJ40-Toyota-Land-Cruiser-FJ40-/271391466695?forcerrptr=true&hash=item3f303124c7&item=271391466695&pt=US_Cars_Trucks Best, Evan
1976 FJ40 For Sale! MUST SEE!
Please forward this info to any friends that you know that might have an interest. I have owned the Cruiser for 20 years and have done ALL the work personally. Garage kept. It is not a trailer queen. It is a hard-core rock climbing Land Cruiser. Purchased and originally restored in 1993. Taken apart, painted, and restored again in 2005. Cut apart rear fenders and bed and welded in new metal in 2012. The under-side of the floor as well as the inside of the bed and steel diamond plating were all recently repainted. This truck is extremely clean and well maintained. Contact owner Bill Baxter @ (757) 715-7617 or email: bbaxter@cox.net HERE IS A LINK TO THE COMPLETE PHOTO ALBUM...
