Lingering Coolant Problems

Oh, gotcha. I'll bet it was from getting hot, which would have been caused by a leaky/cracked radiator (replaced). I have checked all the other areas for head gasket failure(s) and everything checked out fine.

Timing cover uses a similar type of sealant. So I would watch that as well.

Ironically I am still on the factory hoses even though I am in my 2nd radiator replacement since nothing decent was available when mine failed initially

Also check your overflow tubez those fail as well as plug and can cause hyjinx.

How many bananas is a coolant valley re seal job. I’ve seen the work-up’s on here about how to do it, but I’m hesitant due to working chaotic hours and being in 100% custody of my 2.5 year old. No garage. Also, it’s HOT as a goats tit in a pepper patch.

I guess I'll just get it over to my local cruiser shop for a good ole time.

You'll be fine. Don't eat them.

Take it to a good shop and lose it for a day. Took me about 8 hours (with some other replacements) but I hired a good sitter for the kids. Good luck!
