I bought this last year end of april from the gentleman that built it. He lived in Fallon Nv. I drove it home from Reno airport about 500 miles. Have maybe put another 500 on cruising around town and foothills.
I Sold my dirt bikes the year before because of health issues. i had a number of 40s and a couple 45s back in the 70s and really loved them so i thought i'd get one and still be able to have some adventure in my life. My cancer has progressed didn't have the energy to dig out if i got stuck so I just fixed some stuff and enjoyed having it around. My cancer has spread all over . Just started chemo this week. I am selling my 1970 Toyota FJ40. Asking for 6K. I got this truck awhile back with plans to restore it but I have lost interest and need to find a good home for it. This truck spent most of its life in New Mexico thus has very little rust. What you see in the pictures is just light surface rust. Garage kept. Runs good. Breaks are a little soft but other than that this FJ drives great. Original paint. Original PTO wench. Original motor with 150K miles. Original 3 on the tree 4x4 transmission. Interior needs some work and is not original. Top is off another FJ I believe.
Great restore project. Very motivated to sell. Make me an offer!

Picked this up for some of the extra parts that came with it for my 77. Thought I'd tinker a bit as well. However time and space are the greater evils right now so I'm putting her on the market. I am putting up for sale my dream project. I am unable to work on it anymore right now and need the funds (out of a job). I bought this Land Cruiser a little over a year ago as a non-running, non-registered vehicle that had been sitting for some time. Since then I have put extensive work into it and it is well on its way to being an amazing machine. I will have another some day, but the time is not right for me now.
This is not something that has been sitting around for a while-I have been actively working on it and driving it!
