Search is in full swing thanks for the refs….I've driven what I thought would be a contender, reviewed several dozen on line, had one thoroughly checked out (shy of mech. eval)

getting close to making offer - keep 'em coming though!!!

I too believe that one in post 20 was too good to be true…..appears to have been flagged for removal…..

No it's for real. He is a pilot who works for European company flying charters. He already has it set up with storage company so the deal can be done quickly. Clean title which he has signed. Name is Steve Mckean, wonder if he meant Steve McQueen?

I'm still playing around with It.

Ad seems to be gone???

Yeah, I sent him email saying it sure sounded like a scam and how could he assure me it was legit. I asked for contact to have someone look at it and never heard anything again.

Dirtbag

I am so frustrated & bummed. I pursued a great candidate of a truck in the Seattle area. A well known mudder from Seattle checked it out for me, taking and sending to me over 100 photos. (Thanks Again!) I made an offer to the sellar that was accepted via email. We agreed he would have the truck inspected by Torfab - which he did....now the owner says "there might be local intetest and if someone shows up with more $, he'll sell it."

Maybe this will still work out but if it doesn't i will have stopped my search weeks ago based on his accepting my offer.

I guess the short version is - i'm looking again and have actually bumped ip the budget abit.

Every indication during every interaction was that this was a stand up guy - man, i sure have some doubts now....
