Up for sale today and a 78 Toyota FJ40 with a Chevy 350 small block. The 40 has been garage kept for most of its life and while in AZ it has always been in the garage year-round. It's very capable of most moderate to extreme trails but I've taken it a few times on some very mild trails.
A 3" body lift was fitted back in the early 90;s and rolling on 33x12.50. A 4-speed manual transmission pushes the 40 down the road at a comfortable 70 mph. A new aluminum radiator and a Ford electric fan with Dakota Digital controller have been installed. This 40 also comes with a Cool Cruiser AC unit that is brand new, still in the boxes and has yet to be installed.
There is a small area of rust about the size of a quarter on the right...

New toy is on her way and one has to go. All parts were bought from cruisercrop and maintaining by a Toyota/Lexus mechanic. Absolutely need nothing for daily driver, no leaks, no smoke, no burning oil., 90% mud tires with one(spare) new..

I am putting up for sale my dream project. I am unable to work on it anymore right now and need the funds. I bought this Land Cruiser a little over a year ago as a non-running, non-registered vehicle that had been sitting for some time. Since then I have put extensive work into it and it is well on its way to being an amazing machine. I will have another some day, but the time is not right for me now.

The previous owner (whose a well known LC specialist in LA) had this work done just before he sold it to me: Professionally rebuilt carb, transfer case, 4spd trans, all new brakes (4 wheel drum) including brake booster, MC, etc., New Downey springs (4") Bilstein shocks. new MOR shackles, etc, new 12x33x15 BFGs. New Downey bumpers. Gas tank replaced. Has a strong 2F engine, compression test all cylinders above 145 psi. No Smog since it's 1975 and older. This Landcruiser is all stock.
Since I purchased the truck over 2 years ago, I purchased new front tires, BFG all terrains which has less than 1000 miles, I replaced the battery with a Optima Batteries...

I regret trading off my 74 FJ40.... So I'm trying to see if there are any 75 or older FJ's out there that would want to trade for my 1968 Ford Cortina turbo. i bought this project and like all the others, no time for it. Only thing I have done is cleaned it and put it in the garage. Have not touched it. I did make sure the engine turned over. It does. The only thing I know it's missing is a fuel tank. Old guy sent it off for lining and never picked it up. Other than that is seems complete. Fenders doors hood jump seats all inside. Rear sill has been replaced. It had a body lift the po was taking off. That is as far as he got, what you see is what you get.

I have had this since 2009 and rarely drove it, and now I need the space and have a toddler that is years from being able to ride in it. I advertised it before but ended up changing my mind and having it shipped to NC when I moved. Prior to my owning it, it was in Portland, Oregon, for 2 years, then with its original owner in Australia. This is an incredibly fun, tough truck in good condition that turns heads wherever it goes. Engine is B series 2977cc, 3L, 85hp, inline 4 cylinder. Not fast (will go about 65mph on the flat) but fuel efficient (probably about 25mph) and powerful low-end torque - can crawl up anything. Toyota FJ40 1972 Model (Oct. 1971 build date on tag but titled a 1972). Engine was pulled before I bought the truck (PO was going to restore). Includes original engine, floor shift three speed/transfer case, etc. It has some rust but the frame is solid and I think the tub is very workable. Price $4500.

A change in my life has made me reconsider daily driving my FJ40, not to mention that nearly 200mi a day isn't fair to the truck even if it does it without complaint. As such it is time to let her go to a new home.
