Would like to hear from members in which insurance companies are ideal for the 70 series Land Cruisers.
It might've just been the particular agent, but when I called USAA today to get a policy started...and it got to "what model?" and I said "HZJ76", there was a few seconds of silence...then..."a what?"

From what I've read so far, getting an Agreed Value policy is the best, but limits who can provide coverage...

Also, is MUD a recognized "Auto club/organization" when it comes to receiving premium discounts?

Thanks in advance

Not sure the best option for insurance, I’ve always just had liability on mine. With regards to auto clubs or organizations, Mud almost certainly doesn’t count but joining your local TLCA chapter would.

Oh, that's too bad about MUD (seems to be pretty large and covering different manufacturers).

Thanks also for the TLCA suggestion - closest to me (Wisconsin) is Indiana unfortunately....

USAA is pretty easy to deal with. Just tell the agent that you have an imported vehicle with a foreign VIN that won’t validate in their system. They’ll ask for make and model (Toyota Land Cruiser) and then I gave them HZJ75 as the trim.

So long as the make, model, and VIN match the title and VIN plate on the firewall you should be good to go.
