*SOLD* 1981 BJ42 Frame off Restored and barely driven For Sale in BC
***EDIT, THIS TRUCK IS SOLD****** Hi All, I am posting this for a friend, you can ask me questions, but it might take a while to get back to you as the guy selling is 71 years old and just asked me to circulate for him. I sold him the truck originally when I was in University I can tell you the truck was in really good shape with really low miles when I had it and he spent a lot of money on it to tediously restore it to probably better then new. Anyway his comments are below, and I have attached most of the pictures he has sent me. Enjoy and hopefully this truck gets a good home. For sale ( January 2016 ) : a 1981 Toyota Land Cruiser BJ42 [ 3B Diesel , 4-speed manual transmission ] hard top with sun roof . Reference attached photos ...

For Sale 1965 FJ45 Toyota Land Cruiser pickup - Grand Junction, CO $4,900 obo
***SOLD*** I have too many projects and have had a hard time getting to this one, so I am putting it up for sale. This is a 1965 FJ45 truck, which has some modifications performed by the previous owner. They put a 350, 1-ton axles, power steering and an auto-tranny in it. The body is alright for the age and would make for a good restoration, modification or resto-mod. It comes with a lot of the original parts as well as some additional parts to take it back to original. The red bed in the pictures does not come with it as it is for a separate project that I am working on. There is rust in the typical areas, but not worse than normal. I have included some standard pictures in the listing, but also have this link for detailed...
1977 fj40/45
Ok I know this isn't a true 45 but it does have a cut down 45 bed on it. This started out as a 77 fj40 that was cut just behind the doors to make the cab. The frame was cut and extended 32 inches to make room for the 5ft bed. The bed came from a 64 fj45 swb. The back quarters were rotted off (don't flip out you purist) and we used the rear quarters that we cut off the fj40 to complete the bed. This project has been in the works for a few years. I had it at SNT for the 10 year anniversary. It now has a 5.3 from pacific fabrication BTB LS aluminum radiator, th400 with Art Carr shifter, and Atlas. 5.29 gears with front and rear ARB's. Front is spring over with 4x4 labs high steer kit and longfields. Rear is 4 link with 1 1/4 heim joints...
First off - let me say thank you in advance for all of the people that post and contribute to the forum. Thank god (and Cisco) for the internet - and making it possible for us to communicate and do research at the speed of light. I am looking for a BJ42 for my son. He is just getting his learners permit - and it gives us a small project to work on together, while keeping him focused on school and great grades. If anyone out there has a great deal - don't be afraid to post it here. Conversely, if anyone sees a post here and wants to chime in on "great deal" - or (like I have seen in other threads...) "Not in this forum is it a great deal" - please don't hesitate to contribute. Why a BJ? Well - just for the name - how can any dad...
Hey everyone I'm new to the community and looking to get my first LC. I've been looking for an HJ47, but have been having trouble finding one in decent condition for a complete newbie to work on such as myself. I love the styling and mechanical simplicity of this family of trucks, and at this point am looking for a diesel 40, 44, 47 but will go for a gas as well if the right match comes along. I am not a mechanic past changing oil. This is going to be my first project to learn on - I've loved classic cars since I was a kid, had no one in the family or immediate circle who knew anything about cars so here I am getting into it completely blind! Figured I'd get started on a truck since I like to camp somewhat off the beaten track now...
